Dear EpicA players,

I was wondering if there was any interest for the following idea I had:

One day event in Cambridge (UK),
lets say sometime in October for now - but that's not set in stone,
EPIC-UK approved 2000pt lists.
Yes, that's right... 2000pt armies, for short snappy games.

I've got a potential hall, but wanted to gauge interest first.

That's about an hour and 20mins from me, so I'd be fairly interested, depending on the day you picked.

I think that another 3-4 chaps I know would be interested if the lists were opened up to allow NetEA lists too, but that tends to put off the EUK tournament regulars anyway, so *shrug* :)

2000pts would make for a break and upset the standard army configuration meta-game a bit so I'd be up for it :-)

See you've moved the date to September? I would have come on that day but will be at a festival I'm afraid :-(!

Nevertheless it's a great idea: perhaps we should set up a few more 2000pters? Short snappy beer laden games!

Yep, moved to September... couldn't get anywhere (reasonably priced) for October and other commitments knocked out most weekends.
Sorry you can't make it - what festival could be more exciting than epic?
To be honest, 2000pt isn't that much quicker than 3000pt, the addition of beer is always welcome.

Will write a new advert thread with the details sometime soonish.
