The airfield is left in Imperial hands, still occupied by the Tank Company...



...which is a good thing, considering the Imperium will need either reinforcements or to evacuate the planet, as the Orks have won the day, 16 objectives to 10!!!!

It was indeed a Thunderbird 2 model bought from ebay (not sure exactly what sort - you'd have to ask Curis) and appropriately orkied with plating, several dozen or more rivets and various orky bits. It was really well done and made a larger and much better lander than the official model. I'd like to get hold of one to make a version too.

Fantastic weekend and game and nice photos! :)

Looked like a great game, wish I could have been there! Still, it snowed last night in China, woop-dee-doo.

One question: How did the turn system work, 1 by 1 each side, 2 then 2, an overall general with sub-generals...?

What I saw from the photos:

1 - The orks streaked ahead on the final turn, from behind to 6 objectives ahead? Well done the greenskins, how did the Imperials let it all go so easily?
2 - 3000 pts of air force in one turn? An Eldar players dream, even Phoney Bombers would be used then.
3 - Having Black Templars is a cunning plan as they look good even if only undercoated black
4 - Ork armies look great even if from loads of different players, nice and colourful
5 - Spotted the big heads of Sam and Marcus
