And here's a sneak peak of some models from an entire Black Legion army that I painted up last week

Sigh. I'm going wrong somewhere, I have 4 stands which I need to paint to use at WW this weekend - and I'm struggling to find the time to do it!

Anywho. Cracking paint job MoK, looks really good!

Really like the warhound, very effective.

It is probably just the photographs, but those look very shiny, have you considered using a matt coat/seal? (especially if you used army painter dip)

*edit, also one the stands of marines is the wrong way round, homage to the e40k box back picture? :D

Damn! Backwards Marines! I'll have to sort them out!

They aren't as shiny as the pictures look but Iactually quite like the gloss effect that the army painter has given them: plus the only can of Matt I had turned that horrible white when I tried it out the other day :-(

The bases were inspired by Vaiish

Will have proper pictures for you after the Winter Warmer :-)

Mok,
Do you use much of the Army painter paint, Only ask as i normally spray GW white base coat and then add colour, However looking at the army painter cans they have a good selection of colours that they say is a base coat and colour in one!

Just wondering how it grafts with 6mm figures, adheshion, quality of coat etc, Any great minatures MOK keep up the goof work!

Regards epic

I used army painter desert yellow as the base coat for the first army picture in this post

viewtopic.php?f=88&t=18047

They were sprayed yellow, ice blue half, devlan mud wash, black bits, boltgun metal as required. Shoulder pad colour and that was it. Not up to MoK standard but tabletop ready in not to much time.

I like the sprays, though I know others have had issues with them.

Ah! No: I've only used the quickshade on these so couldn't really comment on the sprays.
But with that I only ever brush it on.
Thanks for all the comments!

Here are the completed shot's of my new Khornate Black Legion Army: can't of taken more than non full stop 10 days, they were undercoated black ages ago, then I drybrushed them dark to light red, added base colours to the details and brushed on some midtone army painter before doing the bases, et, voila!

The only things that got a bit more attention do detail are the heads of the titans who have a 3 stage shade - highlight jobby going on. Very happy with how easy it was to turf out another army in such a quick time as I really wanted to make way for the Imperial Guard project that I've got planned in the future and to have time finishing some other stuff off too whilst waiting for the money to make my Exodus Wars order.

Pictures paint a thousand words so here we are: (some a little over exposed as still getting used to new camera):

ARMY SHOT

TERMINATORS AND OBLITERATORS (these have a demon prince join them occasionally from my LatD)

ELITE TROOPS:

CHOSEN/FORLORN HOPE

DECIMATORS (based on the current conversion being used in the Emperors Children blog)
Image

PETITE CRABS DE FER EN COLERE (minus heads, I dislike that look)

TRANSPORTS AND TANKS (note the use of left over Crab bits)

TITANS (never had a full banelord sitting around so this is a quick conversion that I've named 'Zoidberg'! The Ferals are just Mk1 Warhounds with spiky bits, and slightly modified 40k Chaos Weapons bolted on: They double as Questors in my LatD army)
ImageImageImageImageImageImage

So there we have it: enough troops to do 3-5k with: I'm happy enough!
For bikes I use my LatD Roughriders (Juggernauts), I've got some demons sitting around so can summon if I want to and all I really need now are some Edenite assault troops do proxy some Raptors and it's complete!
Another month, another army!
R>

PS: both my chaos armies fit together in terms of colour scheme and basing: if people haven't seen them before they're earlier back in this thread.
