Using the old OOP SM1 era metal Eldar ... I've painted them up in random tactical colors. To emphasize they are "irregular" troops ... Image Image Image Image Working on 2 more Exodite Warbands, one with more of these SM1 Eldar and another with Exodus Wars Bounty Hunters ... ;D

Well painted Legion 4 and again a good colour scheme, How are they to scale against the rest of SM2 epic eldar, as I still have some metal Sm1 marines and they are massive compared to the sm2 marines, especially the missile marine he is twice the size.

Have been looking at other minatures to paint as i dont play epic, just paint and the seeds of war lizard men are looking very appealing at the moment...

Keep the post coming regards epic

Nice. Would those banners be a mixture of printouts and decals?

Thanks Guys, yes they are a bit bigger than the plastic SM1 & SM2 Eldar. Closer to the E40K and current Eldar. The Metal SMs from the the SM1 era are a little bigger then plastic Mk.VI "Beakie" and closer to the plastic MK.VII SMs ... I have units of both. Yes, the flags are photocopies & decals ... Here's my Photobucket for Eldar - http://s48.photobucket.com/albums/f248/ ... 0INFANTRY/ And my SMs - http://s48.photobucket.com/albums/f248/ ... %20GRUNTS/

Hello legion

You know I love old school and this is about as old school as it gets. Great job !

But where did those eldar stat sheets come from ?

As far as I know White Dwarf never got around to doing an SM1 army list for them like they did IG, SM, SQ, Chaos and Ork.

Are they from the SM 2 box set ?

Regards

Thanks Boyz !! And those Eldar TO&Es I made up myself ... literally just cutting and pasting & copying ... They are like the SM1 SM, IG, Ork, Squat and Chaos, Templates ... I did the same for 'Nids, Tau & Kroot ... Even DRM Lizardmen ... ;D Image Image

Nice work Legion 4,

Good idea on the cards, The first box set that i purchased of flea bay not so long ago was the SM1 marine game it was bruised and battered, but came with loads of goodys that where not even listed, codex titanicus in a binder along with a folder full of cut out white dwarf epic supliments. Loads of squad cards, old advertisements of the old epic and 28mm figs also the artwork in magazines is fantastic. It was such a blast from the past, enjoyed getting the old suppliments rather than the game itself. It was this really that got me back into minatures. the last time i was painting them was when sm1 was on the shelves :D

We like the system, we think it is the best unit organization system for Epic, G/W had come up with ... with a few modifications ... ;)

Ah that makes sense then.Very well done.

I've used the old WD army list for some of my armies.I am five tarantulars away fom finishing the 19th Davron Reg.Burzoks bad boyz from the Ork army list is only three skull hammers and three old school G Gargents away from finishing.

May do the SM list but the chances of getting some more of the old metal minis are slim.My current project is using the chaos list from WD131 !

I try to organize my Ork Warbands by era, SM1, SM2, etc. but I mix them up bit too. I used the Ork templates for my DRM Lizardmen ... seemed like a good fit ... Here's some of my Ork Warbands ... I have almost 40 Ork Warbands ... Image I like old school !! ;D :D ;) I get a lot of old Epic on eBay ... and sometimes here. I used the Chaos templates in WD 131 for the basis of my Chaos and Cultists too ... it's all good ! 8)
