That is pretty neat, you have to admit.

It wouldn't be nearly as high if it weren't for all the inane comments I post in your threads. :D

Great work as always captPiett. I am always surprised at how fast you and Dave are at painting. captPiett and Dave got together and bought/built/painted four formations of Chaos bikes and gave them to me for Christmas. Their work was amazing and I was blown away by it all - I give them many, many thanks. I do feel like I should be in a charity commercial though..."For just 80 cents a day, you too can help a gamer who is afflicted with "Primeritis" - the inability to finish countless painting projects - won't you help?" Special thanks to Sally Struthers...

If it was anyone else, I wouldn't correct this, but since you're my dear grammar-and-spelling-correcting (especially when one is trying to spin a good rant) friend:

You'll notice that I said he's an Iron Warrior. Please read the thread :P

well, given that this whole thread is about the man-lovin' pervs and how many of your errors I've tirelessly corrected in the past, I just assumed you made a spelling mistake :-*

Alright. More updates:
Finally took a picture of my completed defiled defilers. No flocking yet, but you get the idea. To slaanesh 'em up, I gave them pink "legwarmers" (see above), and finished them off with some slaneesh/immature symbols on the carapace. I carefully drew a khorne symbol on the top, then crossed it out with a big pink 'x'. Not as visible as I'd like, but it works:

And I did an inventory of the infantry I had left to build, and its just daemonetts, havocs, and the terminators. Here they are with their soon-to-be bases:

I guess I forgot the raptors, but those aren't in hand yet so they don't count.

It doesn't seem like much - I guess there's light at the end of the (long, sticky emperor's children) tunnel. :P

They're actually "woodsies", small wooden rectangles. You can get them at a crafts store (e.g. Michaels - not sure if you guys have those in Cali or the midwest). I glued the sheet of cork onto them with spray adhesive. Dave helped out with the idea, cork, and the hole punch... oh, and those particular woodsies as well. Come to think of it, I'm not sure they should be in my thread at all :P

More updates. The Iron Warriors bikes I did for uberChris:

I started with a white prime, then two coats of black wash. The metal parts got black and then gunmetal. The shoulders also got black, with some gold edging, and then mustard-ish stripes on a random selection. In the end, they still looked a bit light, so I gave the non-metal bits a third wash. One lord has a sword from the "excellent" plastic chaos lord figure, while I gave the other his "awesome" banner and put some stripes on that. I still morn having to hack up that really really cool figure. Must be why I traded the rest of 'em for sorcerers.

Retinues complete except for the flock:

I decided that they were dark enough, and except for some touch-up on the wash and highlighting the symbols on the banners, I left them alone

ooh, does that mean Chris won't be using those beautifully primed juggers as bikes anymore? That'd be sad. I'd especially miss the explanation of which one's the Lord (pencil scribble on the banner IIRC) ;D

nice bikes too..

Next, the oblits. In addition to the two washes, I also gave them some pink bits to fit in with the rest. The Sand (flesh) parts got another coat of gryphon sepia, then a flesh highlight.
Image

What emperor's children obliterator would be complete without assless chaps (as mentioned above)? And what pair of assless chaps would be complete without a... you guessed it... tramp stamp!
Image

"Angela" the oblit in all her tramp-stamped glory is on the far left. It's purple. I'm so proud.
