Please find attached some rules for using variant weapon configurations with Imperial armies.

Feel free to playtest these rules, and report back on their balance, points costs, and level of fun. :)

out of curiosity, how closely do these titan loadouts adhere to your oft proposed (and decried) 40k weapon restrictions?

Anti Armor Reaver should have Fixed Forward on it's Apoc Launcher, not Forward.

Looks like fun.

Moderately so.

Laser Burners and Corvus Assault Pods don't even exist in 40k, however...

One with a CCW, Plasma Destructor, 2x Apocalypse Missile Launchers, Carapace Multi-Lasers, and a Sacred Icon, perhaps? :-)

Possibly a bit outside of the "generic roles" that I'm going for in this document.
At least to start with, I'd like us to concentrate on these "roles", though if this approach proves popular we could look to introduce some extra roles further down the line...

Also note:

For v1.01, the Anti-Personnel Reaver Titan will be able to swap all three of its weapons for Apocalypse Missile Launchers for +25pts (This would allow the construction of the 3x AML Reaver that Forgeworld used to sell).

However did you guess?...

I'll start testing alternate loads come january when I'll be the owner of a few new titanic walking machines.

Might run my custodian as a CCW one when me and Daz test the WW scenario in 2 weeks: they'll be a lot of gargants out there but don't think he'll take any with CCW's himself...(Darren: if you read this, forget about it...!)

yeah thats what i thought

well, while i wholeheartedly object to the 40k restrictions, and any sneaky attempt for them to gain inclusion in the game, i do like more titan options and more reasons to take titans, so i guess its a cautious yay from me. ^^;

It never sat well with me that a Battle Titan could take a Scout Titan Weapon. Either it would look oddly small or if it was proportioned to the Battle Titan then it should have better stats no?

Nice to see this finally tho. If I ever get to play a damn game then I might be able to try them out, lol.

So you can't have the MRL with the two gatling blasters? I take it that is so the 625 cost reflects one weapon system being a warhound one?

The heavy support one - you replace both arm weapons or can you do one.

On the support is the deathstrike missile one shot?

You can't seem to make the book Reaver. Is it meant to include that or act as a swap. So do you say use this instead of the titan section or as well as?

Warlord wise, referencing the warlord and underwear thread, the standard one seems unchanged. And well, still pants.

Given all those options what ones are actual viable choices for a steel legion and marine army do you think?

I've looked but I'm not sure if there is the option to make one of the old 'classic' reaver config and my most common one on my old models - TLD, MRL and CCW. Can that be done?

Yup.

Should be worded more like:

The Reaver Titan may swap left arm Laser Blaster for a Volcano Cannon or a Melta Cannon.
The Reaver Titan may swap right arm Laser Blaster for a Volcano Cannon or a Melta Cannon.

Hah, yes. :-)

These configs are in addition to the rulebook configurations, not to completely replace them.

Eh, it's not entirely pants, it's very good at AT, if what you really want is a super-specialised AT Titan.

We'll see how it shakes out I guess, but I think there should be more than a few attractive configs.

Not for now.
You could do a very, very close counts-as though: Laser Blaster, MRL, CCW.
