Yes, in our Epic universe the Squats still exist!
We all have large Squat Armies... regardless of the "offical" party line! ?
The Demiurg, if ever released in Epic will be just another race, no matter how Squat-like!
And I agree, the Space Rats should be more like Orks in organization, but your analogies, I think are valid too... but who knows what G/W has in store for us in the future after 2008?

Hi!
I liked the idea mentioned of the Hrudd using bio-warfare, it distinctly rat-like!

Quote (Mojarn Piett @ 05 2003 Dec.,07:36) | Back to work: while very original, the vehicles IMO look a bit too much like the Doomwheel. If we want to minimise the "Space Skaven" look, that is | Yep, I entirely agree. The vehicles were one of the first things to be done in the other thread. We dropped them in favour of the Sand Crawler.
A six wheeled light tank would be good. I have an image in my head of a real tank, but no idea what its called. It could have a light rapid firing weapon, and a transport capacity.
I do see them having large units, and also see them being braver the more there are. However, this is also very close to the current Ork and Skaven rules. Originally we did it in Leadership is size dependant. So, a unit up to 10 was Ld-6, a unit up to 20 Ld-7 and so on. Or if a hero was present, 10+ unit size adds a +1 Ld and so on.

Yes, I think the Hrudd should be more like Feral/Snakebite Orks, with some lotted stuff as well... crude yet effective... hopefully...

IMO it doesn't matter if the "mob" rules are similar to Orks or Skaven since Hrudd are basically rodents, and rodents tend to have "pack mentality" in many cases.

Hi!
The Hrudd would have a lot in common with orks since they are a horde army. Although they would perhaps have a bit more independent units.

I scanned a picture of the tank I mentioned to yahoo briefcase. Go to the "sketches" folder to see it.

When we started to discuss Hrudd, the concept ideas immediately brought it to my mind. As said earlier, it's a Sov-Block T-1000 tank from the Judge Dredd comic "Apocalypse War".

The old Ork Gobsmasha would fit in, I'd bet.
