A yes for the prizes please gentlemen.
E&C is providing us with some donated miniatures for the Painting Prizes.
That leaves most sporting, and 1st/2nd/3rd too.

Please to announce: a chiller full of beer will be available throughout the afternoon.
Gold coin donations buy you a bottle/can :-)
If people bring some pennies we can also pop out and buy a load of nibbles too.

This Day just keeps getting better and better! Cold beer. My goodness.

Exodus Wars would be more then happy to supply prizes for the remaining categories

Okeyday: Would Exodus wars like to provide 1st through to 3rd Prizes? I'd like to try finding something special for most sporting...
Although the store that we're in might be able to provide some little treats too :-)!

It is indeed: and I hope to pull in more participants via local groups and from talking the event up at the GT next weekend :-)

As a quick aside I reckon it would be really nice if we could sort something UBERFUN to do come the evening...doesn't neccasarily have to be gaming but for ages I've wanted to try running a massive multiplayer game with 2 'forces' involved: something stereotypical like Orks/Chaos versus Imperial Forces because, hey, most people have those armies sitting around....

So...something like Imperial Guard defending a city being overwhelmed by a big old chaos horde with an attempted rescue by a flanking titan legion and air dropping marines, all on a big board, with some pretty terrain...

anyone?

Sounds interesting! count me interested, and i may then look at staying over in Bristol for the night.

I've got a fair sized guard army that could contribute for sure.

I'd consider staying on overnight this time. I didn't enjoy the trip home last time round.

Think I'd enjoy commiting a Titan Legion to a big game...

I think I could stretch to them :D, Dom'll choose something suitably awesome.

Any requests from people? Or shall we go down the 'pre-release' route?

The Siege of Bristol looks to have had some interesting events.
Maybe a scenario based on some of it might work?

I'll stick around for this. Been meaning to work on a OGBM force for a while now so this seems like the perfect excuse!

Whay!

Bridge too far seems to take a little too long to play so my suggestion would be several 3-4000pt armies fighting it out over a a board comprised of several 4x6 tables turned 90 degrees. Formations would be allowed to cross over from board to board (they'd be butted together) but we'd have to try to keep that to a minimum! Thinking it would be really cool if you have to start arguing with your allied players about how much of your force you can send across "Hey! There's a shed load of titans coming down on the left flank, can you bring your gargant and that zzap mob over here?!", "Are you kidding!? That Gargant is holding my centreline! Deal with it yourself!"

As officialish 'organiser' bloke I'm going to suggest that we go for Orks vs Imperial with painted armies only.

I can provide the following:
Guard
Orks
Marines

I know Reedar has a good collection of painted Orks too.

Anyone want to pilot a titan legion and save the beleagured defenders?
