Thanks!

Mortarion is absurdly expensive on Ebay... Probably the nicest of the old Primarch models though.

I am making good progress basing the remainder of the Epic collection. All remaining LatD & BL units are fully based now and so are about 200 Eldar infantry (for the next ToEG - planning ahead :) ). I am not making skimmer bases for ~50 Eldar vehicles and then that army is ready for painting as well.

In terms of painting, my goal for this month is to finish the core infantry for at least one of the remaining cults (Nurgle, Tzeentch or Undivided/Ketzali) and wrap up the remaining Khorne vehicles (Greater Brass Scorpions, Blood Slaughterers, Lord of Battle, Feral Titan, maybe the trucks if I can convert them in time). I am still waiting for my replacement pink paint so the Slaneesh vehicles are stalled.

Very nice and very clean work. They would be fantastic to play against on a table.

Starting on the Undivided vehicles. Everything is made from left-over stuff in the bitz box. Orks & Chaos: the garbage collector armies.

The first armoured artillery squadron are fairly straightforward Basilisks. I had to add some fuel tanks and Green Stuff items to the older models to “bulk” them to the new size (I only had two of the newer types left).

Image
The second squadron uses spare Basilisk chassis but mounts siege mortars. I had those left over from the Ork Gargant kit and they somehow fit.

Finally I have two Hydra anti-air tanks. I have a bunch of Rhino hulls without tracks so I made wheels by cutting Ork plastic guns into two with a scroll saw. Add some Ork AA guns and an old Whirlwind launcher.

Progress for October was slightly sub-par, at least relative to my plan:

3 Undivided Cultist Covens (36 models, 600 points)
3 Fire Support units (12 models, 300 points)
1 Khorne Biker unit (8 models, 200 points)
1 Khorne Blood Slaughterer unit (4 models, 200 points) - photos to follow
1 Khorne objective - photos to follow

I missed my goal of getting all Khorne daemon engines finished. The Lord of Battle and two Greater Brass Scorpions are still partially finished on the table. As compensation I finished up a unit of Imperial Guard infantry, some Salamander tanks, some BFG planes and FoW terrain. I also based a bunch more epic units, made skimmer bases for ~50 Eldar tanks and magnetised 100+ Warmaster bases for my upcoming High Elf army. Add a bit of slow pace terrain work and the month wasn't a complete failure.

The goal for November is to wrap up the remaining Khorne units (above plus Altar, hounds, Hellhounds & Transports) and finish the core infantry for either Tzeentch or Nurgle (two covens with Altar and some support).

Really like those belly-gun basilisks.

A few more pics from the tail end of October. I am making slow progress on the Lord of Battle and Greater Brass Scorpions (big multi-part models with few places to hold are always an efficiency downer for me). I have started the Undivided artillery though...
