Hi all,
I'm looking for comments & critiscisms on a test piece I finished yesterday. I'm painting a very large 6mm Soviet army project, and plan to do a quarter of it in a winter scheme whilst the rest is in more usual summer colours.
I've done my first test piece. As I always do after that, I have been looking at it for 24 hours, but somethings bothering me.
A couple of notes:
Beacuse of the size of the project (300+ pieces... to start with...) Everything is speed-painted, so its not going to be amazing.
The basing - I know where I cocked up here. Initially I did the proper bit of mixing in the snow with glue to apply it. Then I decided I wanted more depth to the snow, but rather than mixing it upo, I just sprinkled it over the still-wet snow mix on the front section of the base - ROOKIE ERROR!

All snow will be properly applied from now on...
Anyway, that said, something's still bothering me. Might be the speed-weathering. Might be the base colour. Might be Me. I cant put my finger on it - can you?

Thanks for looking!

P.S. Model is a Soviet T70 from GHQ
