So, a whole time ago I showed you all my Epic Ork Horde

In the meantime, I have painted up a Space Wolf army.
As quite a lot of the figs in there are from the Old Skool, I decided to go for the old skool paintjob on 'em too ;D

The main reason I painted them was to have a second force ready for giving Epic demo's in my Club and should a friend be at my house without an army, we can still play 8)

here's what the army looked like when I bought/got it :
Image

And here's the different steps in which I painted the army :

After two months of painting :
A detachment of WhirlWinds
Image

A detachment of Bikers
Image

And a detachment of Land Speeders
Image

NTwo months after that :
A detachment of Land Raiders
Image

A detachment of Tactical Marines
Image

And a Hunter (Space Marine flak) to protect my WhirlWinds from airborne-attacks
Image

yet another two months further :
A detachment of Assault Marines
Image

A ThunderHawk
Image

A detachment of Long Fangs (Devastators) in razorBacks
Image

Their cloaks :
Image

After a forth 2 months :
A Reaver Titan (gotta love 'em!)
Image
Image
Image

A detachment of Terminators
Image

And since everyone needs objectives in Epic…
Image
Image

Yet another two months further : (almost there... almost)
2 Warhound Titans
Image
Image
Image

A Supreme Commander and a third objective
Image

That's 4K worth of Epic Space Wolves in under a year

target acquired, locked and executed

Here's a view on the whole army:

I still need to make myself a second Thunderhawk though... and maybe a Drop Pod...

Tell me what you think eh?

Very, very nice looking army. By the way, what you're calling a Reaver Titan is actually a Warlord Titan.

Great stuff Quase & I like the conversions & painting! That RT-Era plastic Ork plasma cannon fits in nicely on your Titan. ;)

So when do we get to see an Epic representation of your fantastic LaTD force? ;D

It's th paintscheme that is old-skool, as in the colours I chose (e.g. the red weapons).
But I do realise that I didn't explain that very clearly...

Right... last game I proxied him as a Reaver... hence my slip of the keyboard ;D

Hey, once an Ork...

That's my 2011 project... currently trying to hoard all the figs and bits necessary for the new army...
Still haven't decided wether it'll be LATD or Black Legion though...

Eggzactly :D

Athmospheric, that's because I plan on basing all of my Epic armies (just two up until now...) in the same way.
If I ever get around to making a gaming-tabletop @ home (oh the joys of playing in a club), it'll also be 'based' like this.

Actually, I don't think I would encourage anyone to base his army in goblin green.
Even if I still like many old school colour schemes, I always disliked those awful bases, personally.

So I'm actually quite happy that you decided for another basing technique :)

Nice work !

The next IWC is only a month or so away, so I wrote myself a little armylist... of Space Wolves this time (this will be my very first tournament which I'll attend without my faithful Orks)

And for that list, I'm missing one Tactical Formation with a DreadNaught + a ThunderHawk, so I set myself to glueing and painting...

Here's the result :

Old Skool for the win :-)
Nice Army Quase!
Shame we might not be seeing it at the winter warmer again this year?
YRs,
Ryan

PS: Goblin Green MAKES Old Skool!
