I was mulling the Great Spirit idea over for some time and in the limited reading available it never seems to manifest as anything close to an avatar. The only other Eldar god left is Cegorach (the Laughing God) for the Harlequins, which I put together some stats on. Even for him I didn't have him physically participating in battles.

One of the things that I was chewing on were Spirit Nodes or Spirit Wells that could be placed in exchange for an objective for X points. Similarly to the Cegorach idea, each one of these would allow some sort of bonus to any Exodite formation near it. Re-roll on a rally, +1 on leadership roll, whatever floats your boat.

I suppose you could make it a bigger structure, give it a Damage Capacity and attack value, perhaps a building that Exodites can hide in and attack from with an obscene cover save. A critical would be devastating to the morale of the Exodites.

i recently purchased a reaper model from one of the familiar packs, its pretty squat but very treeish. apparently his name is Stumpy, i'm sure you can find him. i got him thinking he'd be a good undivided Greater Daemon (or atleast a good starting point) and he's about the right size to be an avatar (though he's smaller than the current SG one, he's a sight bigger than a 40k sized one scaled next to the infantry

I don't think an Avatar or Avatar stand-in really fits the exodite background.

You might be able to get away with having an Isha-related unit (even though she's not available anymore) by hand-waving and using ancient artifacts (the Tears of Isha) that somehow allow a champion to wield god-like power. The Exodites were the first to "escape" from the crumbling Eldar civilization, maybe they were able to escape with some items that have immense power.

In any case, I don't think you have to resort to making up your own greater demon analog for the exodites just because the craftworlders get one. There's plenty of other veins to dig into. Maybe there are some exodites that somehow bind their souls to the beasts they tend and thereby protecting themselves from the predation of the great enemy while at the same time calming the wild beasts enough to become useful.

It's almost a blank slate when it comes to the exodites, you don't have to make them into craftworlders, but with dinosaurs.

Why is the Dryad too big? It's a DC 3 monster. They aren't larger than a scout titan, are they?

Ah, I understand now. Then if that's the case you can kit-bust the existing Avatar to hold a wooden staff if you wish. I took the existing model, customized him holding a Harlequin mask in one hand and a staff in the other and it came out pretty cool. In fact I need to get that mini-list moving again.

We should poke at GlynG and see if we can rejuvenate his interests. With all the proxies popping up these days, I think an Eldar Exodite list would do very well. Too bad Feral Orks are already in Swordwind because that would have been an excellent match-up.
