Well I had a weekend of paiting planned, but it was scuppered by Katie's friends turning up and staying the weekend. ?(they were going to the Sterophonics concert at the NEC, and stayed at ours).
So I didn't get that much done. ?I also ran out of black spray, but myself another can yesterday.
Anyway, what I did do-
Sprayed the guntrukks, and put the first base coat of storm blue on them.
Painted all the details on the Nobz.
Did my first boyz stand.
When I do a new stand (i.e. the boyz) and dont know how I'm gonna paint them, I just paint one first to make sure the colours I have planned will look okay. ?I then paint the rest. ?Luckily my first attempt looks okay, so I'm going with it. ?I wanted to keep the main colours of my army (blue and red) but needed them to stand out frm a distance as a different unit. ?In the end I gave them blue shoulder pads, red guns and vomit brown clothing with bleached bone highlights. ?
I'll take some pics tonight for tomorrow.
*Edit* - 19/11/04 - Brought my Digi camera to work, but forgot the connecting cable!
Will try tommorrow now.

The bunker needs a lot more work too. I rushed it really as I was short on time.

Are you using Ultramarine Blue on those Shadow Hunter? It's just they are looking a bit like Orks in ultramarine armour!
However, they are looking ace. I like the battlewaggons in the pic with the bunker.
Cheers
Chris

Basing is driving me mad.
I have gone for a cityfightish look (basically sand, painted dark grey, drybrushed light grey.)
But it takes sooooooo long.
I dont mind any part of painting, except the bases. Why does it take me ages to do? I have been doing it for the past 4 evenings, and still only done about 20 odd stands.

I usually favour the cityfight look as well, although I'm starting a new thread with my epic Eldar including some scraps of grass around the place - a sort of grass-overgrown ruins look.

I'm doing my guard infantry as ash waste. ?I'm taking a mix of black paint, water and glue (about 1/3 each), painting the base, and covering it with sand until it dries. ?I got some grayish sand with a bit of brown, and when it dries it has built-in shadows from the black underneath.
You may be too far along to change, but I think it would work fine for what you described.
No painting and very quick.
That's the technique I use on virtually everything. ?Mix up something in an appropriate base color and use a flock that's the final color you want. ?I refuse to spend time on a base unless it's a showpiece model.

Well I've now played two games, and have a definant convert to epicA.
He's painted a few of the imperial models I gave him (and done a great job on the Warlord Titan I gave him.)
In both games I've smacked him up pretty bad, so he's keen to get some stuff when its all reased.
As for my Army list, I think it needs altering to something I'm more happy with.
The Gargant seems such a waste of points to me, so I'm dropping him. I'm then adding in a Supastompa (which I've already made) to my stompa mob.
I may also rearrange the warband a bit, and add in another stompa mob and another supastompa. I'm gonna drop the two gunfortressses I was using in my warbands. They aren't for my liking. Not stompy enough.
I may also get rid of the Blitz Brigade and use my Big Gunz instead.
I'll post back with a new list. I'll also try and get my supastompa painted up for you guys to laugh at.....I mean look at.

Okay, I took a couple of pics last night. Didn't have time to do many, or set lighting up. So the colours are more vivid than they are really.
There's two stands of Ork boys, to show their colour scheme, a Nobz stand and my SupaStompa I'm in the middle of building.
Its pretty much finished, just need to addd the belly gun.
