Part of the appeal of Epic (and 6mm gaming) for me is the grander sweep of things, so I'll be going for 15mm roads, too.

I like the idea of the connecting sections to integrate the 15mm and 6mm roads, however – that'll give me a nice motorway with lots of sidestreets. Brill!

The "6mm" roads are going to be pretty much identical to the 15mm but narrower (approx 3cm). If you feel that the 5cm width works better for you then go for the 15mm.

If the 6mm roads are going to be 3cm wide I'll definitely grab some of your 15mm sets.

Baneblades are 3.5cm sponson-to-sponson, and standard infantry bases are 4cm wide, so I'll want roads that will be wider than that. Indeed, three small Rhino APCs side-by-side is more than 5cm, so assuming you want two-way traffic on the road, 5cm seems to be a good width to allow two vehicles to pass each other. 3cm seems like it'd be more of a single lane one-way road in Epic scale.

Here's a pic with some epic models (including some very old school titans) for size.

To me that looks like a dual-carriage way (remember, rhinos are way bigger than cars). This road would be almost a foot wide in 40K scale.

Looks perfect for Epic to me!
I'll make an order in the next day or two, thanks for the picture.

IIRC, when Forgeworld made Epic roads (Now OOP), they were about 6-8cm wide.

They look perfect for Epic to me, too. For reference FW's roads are 8cm wide (good guess, E&C).

Edit: Actually, the FW roads have sidewalks on each side, which are 2cm wide. Thus, the roads themselves are 4cm wide.

yea those look perfect. as far as the blocks, are they different sizes for the 6mm and the 15mm? just asking because i like the idea mentioned earlier about using the 6mm as side roads.

That picture looks perfect - exactly what I'm after. As soon as you have the baseplates up, I'll be placing an order.

The kerb stones are going to be identical on the 15mm and the 6mm, they'll match just fine.

There'll be baseplates for the 15mm version?

If so I'll wait for those.

The baseplates will out shortly (next week probably). These will suit both the 5cm wide "15mm" road and the 3cm wide "6mm" road.

For the narrower roads (3cm wide) how does 4x long straight, 8x short straight, 4x corner, 1x t-junction, 1x crossroad, 2x road end sound as a set. £10?

Will definitely be looking to pick up a few sets at some point, both the 15mm and 6mm sizes.
