I want to call attention to a few changes I have found in the Siege DKoK and some of the units they call for. One, the Marauder Bomber, was mentioned a few posts above this, but seems to not have been addressed.

My concerns are found here:

The reason I post this is, in the Army List of Siege, it does not call out "Death Korp THIS" or "Death Korp THAT" for alot of these changes I have discovered, and so I think this could potentially affect some of these core IG units directly.

Granted, in "Section 3 - Forces" of Siege, _some_ of the units are called out as Death Korp, but units like the Macharius and the 2 Imperial Navy planes, arent.

I was thinking of reprising my Minervans for NEATIII but there's one glaring problem.

All my Russ variants are Demolishers, are those really supposed to be Rare now?

I suppose I can have them count as Thunderers if so.

Only Executioner, Vanquisher and Destroyer are rare as per Raiders 2.0.

Why the "One for the Commander" (about the number of Chimera) in the Steel Legion Regimental QG and Mech Infantry ?

I know it comes from the original IG list, but :
1. there is no 'rule' reason to keep it (unless only the SC or the Commander can use that Chimera ?);
2. an army list is not the right place for background informations;
3. the platoon in the Armageddon Ork Hunter Air Cavalry army list do not have 'one Valkyrie fr the commander', same in the Honda's Elysian v2.1.5 army list, the Chroma's Catachan v1.5, The Chroma's Cadian v1.5.
The Saranes Expanse Imperial Crusade army list v1.4 is a special case, because the HQ counts 13 infantry units, but has only 6 Chimeras (including "one for the SC").

I think it was to specify that the grunts would ride in pairs and the HQ would get their own ride. Some players might otherwise put a grunt stand and the HQ stand in the same Chimaera, leaving a single IG Infantry Stand in the 7th. Agreed it's probably unnessecary; once the shooting starts, you ride where you can!

That's a typo then, as the formation is supposed to have enough Chimeras to transport everyone.

The "and one for the Commander" was put into lists, I believe, to show that the "spare slot" is intentional, since there are many references both textual and in common play that you can't purchase/have more transports than you need.

But goes out the window in general, for IG.

If you purchase the Sniper upgrade, you're allowed an extra Chimera, even though there is a free slot in the Commander's Chimera. If you purchase two Snipers, each can have their own. As can all six of the Infantry Platoon.

Some clarification of the "but you may not take more than one Chimera per unit in the formation" clause needs be made if this is a feature, and not a bug.

Again, I believe that has been an oversight, because, as currently written, one can add an *infinite* (up to point value) number of Chimeras to a formation, because each Chimera is *also* a unit in the formation.

The intent has, I strongly believe, to minimize the number of "spare" transport slots, so an Infantry Platoon upgrade is supposed to only be allowed 3 Chimeras max, not six. The "one for the commander" is there to allow a single Sniper (which wasn't actually allowed in the GW release that the Chimera addition comes from) to still get a Chimera, even though there's a slot to spare.

This all seems to be theoretical, has anyone actually seen "maxed" Chimeras in play?

Hi all I was having a look at the Elysian Drop Troop list.

There doesn't appear to be any cost for adding Valkyries to teh Company upgrades. Is this meant to be this way. I would have though there should be a cost for adding Valkyries as this is meant to be a mounted mobile army. (plus one I want to play with)

My version of the list, 2.1.2 has Valkyries listed as an option for all Companies and Company upgrades at a cost of 40 points per Valkyrie.

The current Compendium version is 2.1.5. I would have thought they are at 40 points per Valkyrie, but they are missing from this version.
