Well, looks like it just might be an annual event after all!

Hammercon II is officially on the books, so I'm looking to run another round in the Canadian EPIC Tournament scene (such that is is...), so let's get cracking!

I haven't officially submitted the event to the website yet (will be doing that later today), but the basic details are as follows:

Saturday, November 6, 2010 at the Plaza Hotel, Hamilton, Ontario

Three rounds of 3000 points each, starting at 9:00

I'm hoping to more than *double* the attendance of HEAT09! Let me know if you're interest (and pre-register once the event is up!) to secure tables.

Open Fire!

Mighty machines of war stride into battle while desperate men huddle in their trenches waiting for a chance to… OPEN FIRE!

Welcome to the second annual Hamilton Epic Armageddon Tournament, hosted by Hammercon! Epic: Armageddon is the latest version of Games Workshop’s game of vast armies struggling for victory in the 41st Millennium. This is a 6mm scaled wargame, meaning that a normal, human-sized soldier is represented by a model only 6mm tall! This allows for very large forces of soldiers, tanks, aircraft and mighty Titans to engage in very intricate battles with cunning tactics and deep strategies.

This will be a rather casual tournament and newcomers are welcome. The updated Epic: Armageddon rules on the Games Workshop webpage will be being used, along with most armies being developed by the NetEA Project, a fan-based organization that is keeping Epic: Armageddon alive be designing and developing armies that GW hasn’t officially produced.

Armies should be of a maximum size of 3000 points using any “Approved” or “In Development” NetEA Project lists; please feel free to contact me if you’ve got questions about this. Army lists must be submitted via email no later than October 29th for validation and confirmation.

The Tournament will consist of three slots through the day with the following schedule:

8:30am - Muster and first opponents.

9:00am - 12:00pm - Round 1

12:30pm - 3:30pm - Round 2

4:00pm - 7:00pm - Round 3

We will be continuing with the Purity Seal rule! Every player will receive a single Purity Seal at the start of the tournament. Once during the tournament, a player may break their Purity Seal, call upon the power of Chaos, and re-roll any one single die roll… and be damned forever! See if your belief in your own abilities is stronger than the siren call of Chaos…

So, please pre-register and get your soldiers ready to… OPEN FIRE!
