How do you "smudge"?

It looks like a sort of stippling with a drybrush or are you just putting a drop of colour in and pushing it around with another clean brush?

I use very thinned down paints, and make the borders of the painted area very uneven and "featherlike".

Damn, those Orks look good! :D

Love the paintjob (it helps that red is my favourite colour, but still...)

Hmmm, it is rumoured that I may just have painted my entire army in the past few weeks, and played at a tournament with it this weekend, taking home the "best painted" trophy in the process.

Not sure I got the idea of this whole "take six months to paint an army" thing...

I think you have to start a completely new one to make up for this shameful lack of judgement :D

that happened to me last time: those Tyranids were far too quick to paint!

Congrats, though was it really an award for best 'painting' or just for pure undiluted custom work awesomeness (not that there is anything wrong with that :) )?

I find that painting progress for Epic miniatures is highly depended on your energy for a projects. Unlike larger scales, Epic requires very little shading & layers and a lot of factory workflow. With high motivation you can crank out tons of models in a very short time whereas low motivation leads to practically no progress as the factory chain breaks down (or even becomes too daunting to even start).

Hmm I really do like those orks.

Awesome job E&C. Congrats on taking the modelling to a completly new level with 'real' orks.

;D yes you need a lot of workflow :D
Sometimes I start a new mini at 2 am
cause of the workflow

Somtimes I am staring at my basecoated mini for 2 weeks :P
