I just looked through this entire thread. When I got about halfway through, my jaw dropped and I said to myself....

"Damn Onyx, why don't you work for GW?!"

Then I finished looking at the other half. Then I fell out of my seat and my next thought to myself was...

"Damn Onyx, why don't you own GW?!"

OMG! Onyx. I think...no I know you just took the Epic hobby to the next level (actually through the stratosphere). Kudos to you my friend! Kudos to you!

That Legio Mortis screams, "KICK A#$!"

It's been a while but I have been busy.

I've been helping others by painting bits and pieces of their Epic armies.
I've also revamped my Necrons.

This is most of what I've done. There are more bits and pieces awaiting paint.

I've also been busy making terrain for our 6 week campaign and tournament.

There ia also a Tyranid themed board but I'll have to wait until the weekend to take photos of it (it's down at our local game club for the campaign).

Cheers,
Steve.

I do like those cron buildings you have there. Nicely done. It might seem somewhat mundane, but I've always thought your base painting was very realistic.

Cheers fellas :) .
Yup, the Necron buildings were made using Hirst Arts blocks. I bought several kits from Griffin Grove Gaming. It took a little while for him to cast up the blocks and they did need a bit of tidying up before use but the price was excellent and the plaster used is VERY tough. Really happy with them.

Thanks Vaaish. Your work is an inspiration to me and your encouragement means a lot.
Woodland Scenics pigment washes are my friend when basing (I used Burnt Umber on my Necrons but usually use Raw Umber on terrain/miniature bases). I'm also a firm believer in using several different grades of sand/talus on bases.

Cheers guys,
Steve.

THat is very cool, that you got the kits already casted. I wonder if any one in the US does the same ?

I've recently purchased Hirst arts sandblasted pyramid mold, but haven't done anything more than cast a handful of them.
