Will definitely be part of my Tyranid Army

and

"The Alien"

will also find a place in my 'nid or Chaos armies.

So, I am a new player to Epic and am loving it. I am not however new to GW or it's prices, so this thread is amazing.

Was hoping for some more information on Exodus Wars and the PlasmaBlast Games minis..

I LOVE the look of the Exterminator and Urban Pacification Tanks from Exodus, anybody know if they are able to be used as Epic Imperial Guard super heavies? How is Exodus Scale generally? Specifically for Imperial Guard? APC's and valkries, etc

Same again for the Plasma Blast Games.. any chance of anyone posting up some pics for scale comparisons?

Love Imperial Guard, just cant afford to be spending on GW product (especially when there is places like these producing such great quality..)

Thanks guys and girls.

Scale is spot-on and the quality is generally very high. The superheavy tanks from Exodus are analogous in size and detail to the GW ones.

My only comment is that you should always order a few more infantry stands than you need, as I've had some issues with some of the more delicate infantry being not quite perfect - for example, a couple of incomplete swords on a Guild Prefect patrol, or some especially thin-looking Edenite infantry. However, this is a minor point, and since Exodus offer a bitz service, you can just order five to ten extra models at minimal cost to use as extras or replacements if you wish.

If you like the Exodus Wars stuff for the IG, consider the Pax Arcadia by Dark Realm Miniatures too; the two ranges mix together very well indeed (the infantry and mainly by the same sculptor for both companies I believe) and will give you a full range between them.

Thanks guys! Great advice, and those pics really helped. I already have 2 companies of GW Leman russ, rough riders and 1 infantry company so really only looking for transports, superheavies, storm troopers and maybe some aircraft and valkries.

Will be interesting to see how they fit in...

EW, DRM restock regularly? Have noticed all the Legion Centuria on EW are sold out, except for the Assault ones...

i have it on the highest authority that EW legionnaires will be restocking very soon

for stormtroopers, the DRM Shock Troopers are pretty much ideal.

transports: the DRM ramjack is really cool looking, but it's really beefy (it dwarfs the GW chimera and russes)
the EW hoplons look like they'll be pretty great. plus a talented watermammal is making ones that are perfect.

the EW urban pacification vehicle is pretty perfectly scaled as an IG superheavy (especially baneblades and stormhammers, depending which variant)

i also adore the EW valkyries as vultures. definitely looking forward to seeing the upcoming transport versions.

Does anybody have any comparisom shots between GW vehicles and the DRM firemouth.

I'm having a hard time working out how large it is.

Great pic !!! Yes, all E/W & DRM models are compatible size-wise with G/W Epic and GZG as well as most other 6mm Sci-fi ... ;D

actually, no those firemouths will dwarf the GW tanks you put them near. they're smaller than a superheavy, but not by much.

i would suggest one of two options for basalisks.
one is otter's ARMA which is quite simply ideal
the other is one i am probably going to upload into my TOEG diary when i find my camera. it's a combination of DRM chassis and EW turret (cruiser and SPL respectively) and it looks pretty darn good too.

yup. plus the weapon mounting is easy to convert to various other designs, and even looks lime the "ohshititsthetyranids!" method of production (ie: bolt any spare gun onto some tracks, hope it doesnt blow up)

There's also this from Brigade that would make a good basilisk standin.

I could quite see those as deathstrike launchers actually, something about the way the gun is supported. Definitely plenty to think about
