OK, I'm stumped. I cannot for the life of me find a picture anywhere that shows what Wolf Lords have on their right shoulder pads. Every image I searched online only ever seems to show them from the left or with a wolf pelt draped just enough to obscure the pad itself. >:(

So does anyone have a link or pictures to a wolf lord that shows the right pad? I'm goin' nuts here!

Uh, Just a quick reply here as I haven't bothered to search for it, but try browigin the bitz market (battlewagonbitz and whatever these are called nowadays) I'm pretty sure you can find a bunch of individual Space Wolf components there, so there's a chance they might have a pic of what you are looking for.

The right pad? Where the squad marking on other Space Wolves would normally go? I thought it was black with the chapter symbol on it in white? Each Captain's personal heraldry is already on the left shoulderpad afterall (and their whole company also wears their Captain's heraldry on the left), so I always assumed that it was an inversion of other Chapter's Captains' markings?

Since even 'Codex' Space Marine Captains and above tend to have pretty much free reign in their armour (much of it being customised, personalised or artificed), I'd imagine the free-wheelin' sons of Russ are as individual as they come

If you're stuck for ideas, you could try the Wolf that Travels the Stars (Leman Russ' symbol), which I'm fairly sure is a Black Wolf Rampant on a White Field.

There is onky one picture of a Wolflord in Codex Space Wolves which has both shouklderpads free. But sadly you can't see anything other that they are red with grey trim and on the right one som bit of a black symbol.

So i assume that a Wolflord has his Great Company's symbol on both shoulder pads.

@Apologist: the Wolf that Travels the Stars is the symbolof the Grwat Wolf. Logan Grimnar uses it and it is a grey, upgright wolf on a black star filled field.
He wears Terminator armour so he has a Crux Terminatus on the left shoulder pad.
