Hi Lextar,
I am serious about getting the army finished, stage two is base coated and waiting for a new pottle of warlock purple. Stages 2 - 4 are soaking in simple green. A friend is painting the vehicles to save them from being butchered by me.

Thanks for the offer of the domanatrix. For some reason I have also ended up with three of them so I have that covered.

Howdy Timbo_the_Titan,
fancy meeting you here! Painting doesn't send me insane, I just don't usually do it because I hate butchering good miniatures. For some reason I have been finding these miniatures a bit easier to paint than most so I have actually been enjoying the process.

Here is a quick shot of the vehicles sitting in the spare bedroom while the varnish dries. They were all painted by inquisitor earl, a friend of mine and the talent behind Ferrus Workshops.


The miniatures on bases will be based to match the infantry, of which another 80 stands are currently under way.

Note: this photo is pretty terrible so you can't see the shading on the bone areas.

Wow, I love that old-school colour scheme! Looks much more unified that the old GW studio models though (which is a good thing!). I can't wait to see what they look like all done up.

NB, there's a large place in the developing 'nid list for a War Engine that happens to look like the Dominatrix but is more numerous!

The warriors are almost finished so the army is almost playable! The gaunt swarm is so thatI have enough infantry to make armies using the french list. A few lictors are hiding on one of the trays. Gargolyes and genestealers are in the simple green so they will taken out and hit with the water blaster this weekend as well. Then the lictors and more genestealers are going to take a dip.

I'm loving the look of these! Are the bases all still to paint though?

I haven't decided whether to go with the snow theme for the gaunts or to paint them the same as the other units.

Wow, there's almost 50 stands of gaunts. I'm impressed.

There are another 11 already finished and a couple more with the first coat of purple. I think there are around 60 but their could be a few less now as my 4 year old sneaked in and "painted" a couple of stands. She likes to paint miniatures and has a few stands of squat bezerkers that she paints and repaints. This was the first time she had raided my workbench.
