I have been having difficulties choosing a color scheme for my (as of yet unstarted) Eldar army. Since I like green I have been thinking about sort of "reverse Biel-Tan" for Guardians where the armor is green and helmet white.
Oh, and do you think purple would work for Banshees? I want something different from the norm.
What do you think?

Hi!
I think a "reverse Biel-tan" would look real good. Use a lite purple color for the banshees and I think it would work fine.

If you look at the current 40K eldar codex, they use the reverse colours for the Wraithguard. Looks quite good too.
Thing is with Eldar, you can paint them really as you wish. The treat war like art, so their uniforms are highly decorated anyway. Usually HB use a bone colour, but that does not mean that its alway bone exclusively. I did do some 40K banshees (years ago) with purple armour, red helmet and grey hair (to be honest, they were aweful, but that was my crappy style at the time).
I think painting your army different from the norm is always a good thing. Makes you stand out.

My first army was Eldar, painted green and white, not because I like Biel-Tan (I didn't even know the names of the craftwolrds), but because I coule prime white and do green and a bit of gold highlights. (a bit lazy, I know )
Later, I also did reversed colors in order to differentiate companies and formations from each other.
The green guardinas with white helmets look good. I would suggest flocking with something besides straight green in order to give a contrast.
Other colors:
DAs: white armor, green helmets Banshees: green armor, white masks, and red hair Scorpions: green, white helmets Reapers: black, green helmets Dragons: orange, green helmets (looks surprisingly good) Hawks: light gray, green helmets
Maybe that'll give you some ideas.

I painted a couple of Eldar stands from my own Craftworld (Dia'Thendril) in green, with orange hats. It works quite well and looks good. The vehicles look good in green as well. I have been considering Eldar is a purple scheme as well, with white.

Thanks for opinions! And neal, your aspect colors sound interesting, especially the dragons. I'll have to try it out.
Now if I just could figure out a good name for a craftworld...

Now if I just could figure out a good name for a craftworld... | My favourite is Iybraezil, from the Codex inside back cover; but I guess something original is what you're looking for - Illyria (oh VERY original..)? Arcadia (and I'm not thinking of Capt. Harlock here)? Nemusa (that's Maltese - nothing obscene, it just means mosquito)? I guess it's easy to do better than that..
