I'm looking for proxy suggestions for the various Knights in the Knightworld list.

Personally, I'm only needing Paladins (not a fan of the fragile plastics), and Wardens (an issue with ChaosOrc), but given the relative scarcity of the models, I also want suggestions for the others, so that others can purchase and play.

The Mantagen/Mantragen from DRM are just a little too small, even if the Mantagen is a fantastic proxy stylewise, especially if I do make the change to 2xHB.

Heavy Gear Blitz scale seem to be perfect for size, but they're a bit too anime to fit in with the Lancers/Errants/Crusaders/Castellans I already own. If purchasing from scratch, that probably would have been the way I went.

I'll be taking a closer look at some Stargrunt 25mm Power Armour, especially for Wardens, but making sure they're appropriate to scale is important. They seem a bit too 'solid', and not sleek enough, to be Paladins, though.

Any other suggestions?

I've been tempted to make some generic 6mm scale armoured fighting suits, which might be able to be re-purposed to work as proxies.

Maybe a XAI robot from Reaper with a head swap?

I would just convert them form GW 40k plastics, looks fairly easy using necron and marine plastics.

The shins on the knight are similar to that of a 40k marine, the heads are also very similar. Cut the feet to shape, make the thighs thinner (or use necron thighs, the necron pelvis would also be better for some types). Marine torsos with the chest modified to take the head at the front not the top and then weapons either glued directly onto the shoulders on onto necron arms as appropriate for type.

Yeah. Dysartes made a nice Knight based on old Necron figures.

I've been keeping quiet on these until I could put a full army together but that's going to take forever the rate I'm going at. So if anybodies interested then why not try these from insurgency gaming

http://www.insurgencygaming.co.uk/shop_ ... atures.htm

They come in two sizes and you get 5 for just £2.50, the quality is pretty decent, more than worth what they cost,

I've had a quick play with them and they're easy enough to work with, head swaps are crucial though, the sprue contains loads of weapon options. If there's any interest I'll post some more pics, below is one of my future baron with a headswap for an old damaged paladin a slight change in position and a kitbashed gun made from a left over leg.

Why are headswaps needed? Are they really that bad? And are there any melee weapons on the sprue?

These look like they have potential. More pictures would be good, including one with a 'normal' Knight for comparison.
