Enemy of my Enemy Epic Tournament

When: Saturday July 31st 2010

Where: Downers Grove Battle Bunker

Cost: $5.00 for Prize Support (for sure this time)

Rules: Epic Armageddon Rulebook with 2008 Erratta and FAQ

Painting: Not Required but bonus points will be awarded if the army is FULLY painted

Points: 3000 with a Supreme commander required

Army set up: You may pick a standard 3000 point army or you may split your forces in to two 1500 point armies that may be selected from two different lists. If you choose to take units from two lists your Strategy rating is based on the list you took the Supreme Commander from. Example: 3000 point Marine and Ork army if you take the free Ork warlord your Strategy Rating would be 3 but if you pay for the Marine upgrade your Strategy rating would be 5

Titans and Aerospace: The 1/3rd restriction counts towards both lists so each 1500 point list can only spend 500 points on Titans, Aircraft and Aerospace

Armies: Armageddon Rulebook, Swordwind, Black Legion, Lost and the Damned, Raiders 2.0(necron, minervan, and dark eldar), Most Current Tau list , Iyanden 3.4

If someone wishes to use an army that is not listed PM me and I will let you know yes or no.

Tournament Set-up: We will be using the Tournament scenario in the Armageddon Rulebook, so please bring three objective counters.
Points will be awarded for Wins and Losses with possible Bonus points at each round. please bring 5 copies of your army list, one for you ,me and each of your opponents.

Scoring:
Massacre (5 or more Objectives) 16pts. win 0pts. lose
Major Victory (4 Objectives win) 14pts. win 4pts. lose
SolidVictory (3 Objectives and more than opponent) 12pts. win 6pts.lose
Minor Victory (2 objectives and more than opponent) 10pts. win 7pts.lose
Draw (Neither player has won after 4 turns or 2 hours) Both 8pts.
During each round there will be a bonus objective that if you control it, win or lose, is worth 5pts.

Schedule:
10:00am to 10:30 Check in and Set up
10:30am to 12:30 Round 1
12:30 to 1:00 Lunch
1:15pm to 3:15 Round 2
3:30 pm to 5:30 Round 3

In your example, angron, the Ork Warlord is not only free, but mandatory. I assume that any lists where there is a mandatory SC this requirement will be waived for the tourney?

On a related note, I will be unable to attend this one. I leave for Maine that day. Sorry, dude.

It's a way to have fun and show off the size of the Chicago Epic community. None of us are particular powergamers, and we like it that way.

We're not looking to start a tourney scene similar in scope to the EpicUK scene.

Sorry if that sounded a bit harsh, I actually applaud such a flexible approach to gaming.

You might wanna have the SR always fall to the lowest rating, mind you, or those SR5 Necrons will simply be a "win button".
