So say you are runnning, three storm swords, three Squat overlord airships or even 2 maruder bombers for example.. do you combine all the barrage points together? for example again.. 3 overlords would generate 6 bp's according to Epilgrims stat line for the airships. Or would you put a barrage marker out for each unit producing a barrage point and use each units individual total Bp's.

I'm not sure how to clearly state this. But the situation has come up in our Houston area games before. we've handled it both ways but i'd love to get a group opinion on this.

Also like, having two Goliath mega cannon, or any WE that has barrage points. are they grouped togerther for the total BP, or handled individually.

hopefully that is a better way of stating the question.
also, On a Titan such as a reaver, would you add all the missile pods together say,, if you had two or three. Ie:6 or 9 Bp's?

All BP in a firing formation are combined into a single barrage. The source doesn't matter (infantry, vehicle, war engine). As long as it's one formation, it's one barrage.

From 1.9.8 Barrages:
Quote:
When these guns or launchers are grouped together in an attack they always fire a single barrage at the same target...

... work out the total number of Barrage points. The whole formation fires at once, so the number of Barrage points for each weapon that is in range and has a line of fire is added together. When you have worked out the total number of barrage points refer to the barrage table below. Note that a formation may only fire one barrage per turn – a single formation may not fire separate barrages at different targets.

One other note about combining BP, if different barrage weapons have different special abilities, they lose the abilities when combined. Only if every BP going into the barrage has the same ability does the barrage have the ability.

So, if you put 3 Basilisks and 6 Manticores in an IG artillery company, the non-Disrupt Basilisks would negate the Disrupt ability for the entire barrage. There's more detail in the beginning of section 2.0.

i had no idea! Its not really mentioned in the rules and whats worse is that they sell both standard artillery units in the same box... bad gramma wendy... no fruitcup..

by the way, do you have a more printer friendly version of your Q&A's. i read some of them on another post but would love to have a word pad or Word doc of them.
also, how do you know so much of how the rules work together? i was just curious.

Nealhunt is one of the ERC (Epic Rules Commitee). He has been working on the rules of this game since... well I hazard to guess, but for a long time.

Hey Dughan: Most of the FAQs are available in the "Epic Resources" section of GW's website. We've only added a few since then. The problem with keeping a Word or PDF file updated is the standard document control issue when you're trying to keep multiple documents edited simultaneously - something ends up in one that the other misses.

As far as the rules, I was one of the original playtesters when Jervis started designing EA. I was an army champion and one of the ERC when he started up the fan-inclusive system. After Specialist imploded, I was one of the group of fans that kept up the review and FAQ process that eventually became the official 2008 update docs.

So like Clauswitz says, I've been doing it a long time. And I still get things wrong, so there are plenty of people around here to keep me honest.

Well as i said,, i salute ya.. it helps keep us honest down here in Texas. Our gaming group included myself, Jimbo only 1, and a friend named, Thomas Deiner(think his name is peyoterattle on here, and two other guys. I'm always scanning the rules to figure out how we botched things during games or what i forgot to do. its just helpful to have a fellow on the list that helped create the game.
