BTW I can't really imagine why you wouldn't fully mechanise; you can do it cheap with rhinos and sisters lack ranged fire so aren't much good as garrisons. Maybe repentia or retributors could be ok garrisoned on foot, I guess.

Well, you're right regarding garrisoning. Retributors would be the unit of choice for that.

As for going full mech, I agree, but I love Immolators too much! That and theyre the only transport with an actual ranged gun. Assaults tend to take a lot of planning, and so moving multiple formations in singles or doubles, who dont get a shoot a thing, is one of the biggest wastes I can think of. As part of a double-tap, sure, but I dont retain on every activation and neither do my opponents.

Maybe I'll only use Immolators on Dominions, but naw, every formation must have at least one.

Also, I am not sure the 30-point Repressor is worth 30 points. It isnt as useful as an Immolator. I think 20 points is better, but still costly.

I hope when all is said and done that this list remains something I still want to play. After all, my new Sisters just arrived in the mail and I'll want to get them up and running this week!

Take another look at the repressor stats, it's armed with a Heavy Flamer. Right now it's probably the best tranport option by far; 2 transport spaces, walker and a heavy flamer. The immolator only has a twin heavy flamer, which is still only 15cm just slightly better to hit stat, and better FF, but you have to buy a lot more of them to carry the formation, which makes them a lot more expensive. They'll be going to FF3+ to balance them more.

Of course it'll be expensive to put them all in immolators, much as it's expensive to put all marines in razorbacks. It's a trade-off, I usually take one or two repressors or immolators on a formation and the rest in rhinos. Depends on their role of course though; immolators are probably best on retributors, repressors probably best for repentia.

But yeah, the repressor has a heavy flamer.

Nice. Is v1.2 going to be out soon?

The suggestion has been made to me to have weapon options on the immolator, much as the marine razorback has a weapon option.

A Twin MultiMelta immolator would certainly have a different role to the twin heavy flamer one, while also being a way of including a MM into the list, it being an iconic sisters' weapon.

However, I can certainly see it being worth more than the heavy flamer version.

Would they have the same FF value? Things like Dreadnoughts and Razorbacks typically retain the same CC/FF stats. I guess both could be FF4+ but that makes the MM immolater worth vastly more.

Well, Im of the opinion that 30 points is too much for the Immolator as is, though I havent tried the FF3+ yet. This would be interesting.

No reason they'd have to have the same FF stat.

once you factor in the cost of a rhino, 30 points is effectively 5 points cheaper than a razorback, and I think that's about right. They're deliberately slightly more expensive than their stats suggest because of the bonuses gained by increasing formation size and the possibility of a spare transport space. I'm quite happy with their price.

The FF stat of a MM immolator would certainly be lower than that of the heavy flamer one. Either 4+ and a higher price or 5+ and possibly the same cost.

Then you're talking about two whole datafaxes? Or a split stat?

Ive seen precedence where a unit is listed in its datafax as getting a different stat depending on which payload you take. I may even try to find it :)

Chaos Daemon Princes change their armour rating and speed depending on whether or not they have wings.

Aha. It was on The Inquisition's list that I found it! Talk about ironic...

Its the Basilica Imperialis, with a CC 6+(5+) and FF 5+(4+) depending on if you have at least 6 Adeptus Sororitas units on board. Therefore, I think a single datafax with the 2 different stats and notes making it clear would be sufficient.

LOL, Ironic Indeed Sir.

I think it would look fine with a split stat razorback.

Like I say, it can work either way. I think separate profiles would be cleaner though.
