The wraiths are a stroke of genius. I love your take on Necrons. The whole electrical circuits paint scheme is really well executed, too.

They would only be silly if you added Mickey Mouse ears.

The Wraiths are great & I can't imagine anyone would get itchy with you for only having one per stand. If you really want to get picky about basing, pennies, which I also use, are only 19mm wide. Totally unacceptable for the abundance of official GW Epic tournaments that are hosted at GW Battle Bunkers throughout North America. ::)

Magebolrat - I remember seeing someones variant necron list that was thinking of includint a huge worm type robot. I might make a giant one just for you if I can find a suitable piece of tubing.

Zombocom - I completely forgot about the minimum amount models to a piece rule, I am sure the guys I play against it wont be a problem. They seem fairly easy going and a few might have broken this rule aswell with things like oblitorators. I am hoping to upgrade my wariaths with some of the wargames factory plastics when they come out and I will want a few of them on a base.

Freebooter - Im sorry I just take my cubes very sereously

Fredmans - Thanks man. I really just threw the wraiths together because I needed something to represent them until the wargames factory ones arrive.

Ghudra - Ah ha! No I can reveal another of my passions (After cubes that is), which is Trivia. A fovourite book of mine is called Schott's Miscellany which has some amzing nigh unusable trive in it. I did learn however the UK penny is 20.3mm accross, I look forward to the day a gaming official calls me out and I can lay down some Trivia based justice.

Ahem... I am glad you liked the wraiths

Okay I have done some painting, I painted my Immortals. They came out very similar to my warriors so if anyone who has painted some of the Exodus Wars 'Heavy infatry'(?) I would like to know how you managed to define them.

I also put together some Tomb Spyders for the army.

When I field the list I plan on using a giant unit for my BTS target aswell as a hammer (In theory). I am waiting for someone to tell me that this is a bad idea, until then I have all the parts that I need for my super unit painted now. I really like the look of the unit as it looks like a large 40k necron army which I guess is what a formation really is in Epic.

Its hammer time.

I still need to fill about 300pts for my army. Its a toss up between a C'tan, a unit of Obilisks (mmm cubes) or some flayed ones. All have their pros and cons such as I have no idea what I am going to use for a C'tan, I already have a bunch of Obilisks in the army and no great ideas for flayed ones apart from waiting for and converting the WGF plastic combat andriods. Any suggestions would be nice.

Could I suggest painting their pauldrons a different colour so they stand out from the warriors?
Maybe even just black? If they were green I think the green would over power the mini.

Schott's Miscellany is awesome! Did you know it includes precisley 3 uses of the word "ptarmigan"? ;D

Heh, I had thought you were using the less well-endowed US pennies which are an astounding 19.05mm across. :D

Definitely make the heads a different color. White, gold, bronze, or copper should do the trick. ;)

I was going to suggest dark metaalic blue (blue wash on silver?) shoulders, much like the pariahs are in white.

The wraiths are great. Not 100% sold on the warbarque though - it seems too anthropometric compared to the rest of the army.

It would make a wonderful Outsider army.

That Dyson Sphere? well, it's not a sphere...

Great looking army! IMO go with different head/should plate colours to distinquish, you want something that works easily to demarcate units on table.

Lsutehall - Hmmm... I have been reading adimantly (It is my toilet book) and have only found two examples... I love the book alot.

Ghudra - Bow down to oer superior pennies.

madd0ct0r - I am really liking the love the wraiths are getting, I am starting to feel the peer pressure and might keep them in the army. I think the problem I feel is that they break the clean cut division with the cubes being the vehicles and the metallic skeletons being the infantry. Oh and Outsider army?

Thanks to you all for your Immortal ideas, although i still havent done anything with them. I am not to happy about adding any extra colours to the army outside of black, green or white. I have been concidering giving some flesh cloaks but am worried they will look like flayed ones. Also adding white to them may make them just look like my Pariahs. The immortals are causing more trouble than anticipated.

I have had some big deadlines up recently aswell as working on some non wargaming projects but finally did a tiny bit of painting today. Here is my cube based pylon. It is meant to look like a SAM site or something. I am pretty happy with it, although it looks nothing like a pylon most people think that it looks like some kind of giant anti air battery which is close enough.

Sadly when I made my Wraiths I used the last of my coathanger wire which was meant for the next pylon... So for the forseeable future I will only be able to field one of these guys.

Okay here is my next plea from you Epic masterminds. I need to make objectives... I have made a trial one but the more I look at it the more I hate it, it is a very generic damaged vehicle that needs to be recovered (A smashed monolith). Part of the rason I dont like it is I imagine each game several other monoliths will be destroyed trying to recover this one and thats not the kind of feel I want my army to have. Oh and its on a really big base which someone mentioned might cause trouble in games (Think titan sized base, these monoliths are pretty huge).

So as I have been a little cut off from the real life gaming community recently and have been thinking about new objective ideas I thought I would run them past you. Sticking with the B movie space invader vibe that seems to have arisen in the army and as I have picked up a pack of the Exodus wars zombies (Look like civilians). Maybe one objective could be a little broken down car with a man in suit next to it who could be the President or something of the world that I am fighting on. Now that sounds like a worth objective for some evil outerspace robo-skeletons.... right? The other idea was maybe doing a little nuclear family picnic scene with the mother and father and their two beautiful children sat on a gingham rug... This one does seem less important for an army to take and maybe out of place on the battlefield but I like the idea of giant cube robots turning up and ruining a family picnic.

I also need a tomb complex but was thinking just a huge column rising out of the ground with a little door at the bottom with necrons coming out?

+1 on the crashed flying saucer! Not very original, but a giantic cube with one big "eye" could also work as a baseline objective...

Loving everything here, great retro sci-fi look. I like the pylon (although I'd have been tempted with some kind of cheesy ray-gun look, it works very well). The wraiths are cool, the basic infantry are amazing. The only thing I don't like is the Warbarque, it's too humanoid, looks silly-silly rather than retro-silly-cool. If you could move its limbs/head around so it's less humanoid it'd be fine.
