Greetings from the NetERC!

The NetEA Army Project continues to grind forward, and this is the latest release of the various NetEA Space Marine Army lists. As always, we need your help weeding out typos, errors, and accidental exclusions.

It contains:

Codex Astartes Space Marines - FINAL
White Scars - FINAL
Scions of Iron v1.3.4 - Development
Black Templars v3.5 - Development
Blood Angels v2.8 - Development
Dark Angels v3.0 - Experimental
Raven Guard v1.4 - Experimental
Salamanders v1.11 - Experimental

I've hesitated on including fairly untested lists like Iron Fists and Space Wolves, but let me know if you think they should be included in some fashion, as this document is not to be an "exclusive" listing. If there's a Chapter/army list that's been missed, or mistakes/errors made, let us know!

I've taken some liberties with unit stats for new lists (and one old one!). Going over so many lists reveals that many "Chapter-specific" units are simply the regular units with a new special ability or such added. To eliminate the proliferation of a horde of datafaxes that are almost identical, for the most part, I've listed the normal unit names in variant lists and provided a special rule box that talks about the unit modifications.

Note that this document is NOT designed as a "supplement" were such details and individual datafaxes with pictures and such are desired; an army's "unique" units can easily be shown in such a setting where they just clutter up a workbook.

After a quick look, here are some comments :

Emperor's Champion : 'Sniper' ? I thought Sniper ability was only a shooty ability.

If Predator Incinerator has (Small arms), Ignore Cover, why Land Raider Redeemer hasn't ? same for Baal Predator ?

Blood Angels list : the 'Stormravens' upgrade is described, but no core formations is allowed to take it.
Also no formations are allowed to take "Snipers". And in all other previous list, the name of the option is "Sniper_" (no 's').
In the upgrades allowed for the Strike Cruiser, there is no space between between "battle" and "barge" ("battlebarge")

CC5+ for Baal Predator ?

The stats for DA Tactical Pasma cannon is AP4+/AT64.
With so many Slow Firing weapons, I have a headache just to think about it ! :)

If Dark Angels special units have their own profile, why isn't it the same for Salamanders units ?

Sniper is normally a shooting ability, unless it is specifically assigned to a different type of weapon; so, in this case, a hit generated by the attack give -1 to armour save and can be assigned by the attacker to any unit in range, base contact here, of the Emperor's Champion.

Different designers, I assume, with no ruling from the head Army Champion.

No idea, the Army Sub-Champion will have to address this (other than the actual spelling of the upgrades!).

All typos; should be CC6+ and AP4+/AT4+

Well I'd actually like to see the Space Wolves in there, if only for the reason that they'll get more coverage and perhaps more play time.

I thought there was quite a bit of talk / discussion on reducing the cost of Vindicators.

Turns out there's no Sniper option at all in the Blood Angels, it has been removed.

Because this is a workbook, not a supplement; if a bunch of "base" units are changed in just a single way for an army, such as a weapon swap, it will tend to be just listed as that swap instead of new profiles. *New* units will tend to get a profile, as will armies where only a single unit gets a change.

The assumption is made that once such an army "made it" into a supplement, their full details and datafaxes would be included.

For example, all the Raven Guard Land Speeder variants get planetfall, a simple statement detailing that is preferable to a set of 4-6 datafax entries duplicating already existing units and just adding "planetfall" to all their "Notes:" sections.

Does that make sense?

I'd advise speaking to Hena about that, in the actual Space Marine development forum; some lists seem to have reduced them to a 50 point value, while others have not.

I believe there is still some debate on basic Land Raiders being 75 or 85 points, depending on how much the Rhinos they replace are worth in "with transport" detachments.

Why would a DA player need to know the Initiative ratings of Formations he can't take? I.E. Titan and Navy. =)

Previous versions had access to Aircraft and Titans, this has now been removed.

I would suggest then if you were going to do this then you should add the APOCRYPHA OF SKAROS list by Simulated Knave as there has been a lot more play tests with his list.
