I refuse to comments on primarchs remark on the grounds that it could be very dangerous!
OK, I had a load of Epic stuff here, and I have managed to put together a few bits, with some complications:
The two command stands (Assault Chaplian and Tactical Commander) I will convert to make a bit different. I have no idea how, but I have a load of bits and I am looking forward to this.
I only have the original plastic chunky Land Speeders. There is a thread on the trade boards regarding this. Alternatively, is anyone in the US making a Mail Order soon?
The Hunter is a problem. It will have to be a Whirlwind conversion.
I have a load of Razorbacks, but they all come with the same turret! The turret looks LasCannon to me. Was there ever a Heavy Bolter turret produced? It looks like I will need to convert a couple of these guys to make it obvious on the battlefield which is armed with which!
Predators have a similar problem. I have some already assembled (obviously completely inappropriate under EA rules!). Am I right in thinking that the Destructor has AutoCannon turret and Heavy Bolter sponsons?
Aside from that, I am ready to assemble the entire force. I am hoping that the sight of it all laid out will inspire me.
More soon.

For a Hunter, I used W/wind or Rhino hulls with the old Titan Carapace Multi-laser turrets, I got from Doug, for some of those conversions. If we come up with a G/W US order soon, I'll let you know. All the Razorback turrets (I have) are a Las-cannon with a plasma gun on either side. There was no other R/B turret that I know of that was produced by G/W. And I believe you are correct about the Destructor, however, with the E40K Preds, you had a number of options for sponsons.

L-4,

You finally got your carapace laser AAA tanks done?

I have the E-40k catalogue and there were several alternate R/B turrets.
And I believe you are correct about the Destructor, however, with the E40K Preds, you had a number of options for sponsons.
I love the E-40k Pred sponsons. I want to build some superheavies from my bitz box and modify the sponsons on. they look better than the old side turrets.
Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

Quote (Warmaster Nice @ 23 2003 Nov.,19:37) | Very nice! I also like the idea with the upsized guns on that MegaGarganT in the back!
Cheers! | Ok, I was hoping someone would notice Deffsta... and thereby hangs a tail: Deffsta was originally a Mega Gargant, as W.Nice correctly observed, and part of Warlord Nazreg's forces. Believed to have been destroyed by a coordinated strike by the Eldar of Iybraezil, the shell of Deffsta was salvaged by Nazdreg's minion Nazdakka (who could teach the Deathskulls a thing or two on appropriating equipment). Deffsta was rebuilt as a Gargant by Nazdakka's chiek mekboy Nazmek, boasting two twin-linked Soopaguns and one single Soopagun (the big gunz on the gundecks). Believed to be not yet operational, the Gargant building site was attacked by the Eldar, but Deffsta trundled out of its construction pen, its barrages devastating the Eldar attack (ok, time to divert from the rather obvious blurb-o-source). Deffsta has never been fully completed, and still lacks Gargant arms (which it will never get), serving instead as a vastly powerful mobile gun platform-of-a-Gargant. The idea of a massive gun gundeck comes (believe it or not) from a wartime Popeye cartoon featuring a battleship with gundecks similar to Deffsta's.
aware I am going completely off topic and shutting down...

What is Thundabad made of?
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak. | Hi Maksim, here goes:
Thundabad 1 list of parts:
WH 40K: 1. 1 x ?egg? ork dreadnought upper body 2. 2 x ?egg? ork dreadnought middle body 3. 1 x ?egg? ork dreadnought lower body 4. 2 x ?egg? ork dreadnought weapon mounts 5. 1 x Imperial Guard vehicle searchlight screen from vehicle accessory sprue mk. 1
WH: 6. 2 x spikes off a plastic Orc boy club
Epic: 7. 2 x Megagargant Krooz Missuls 8. 2 x Squat Cyclops meltacannon
Gothic: 9. 6 x cruiser frame antennae, chopped
General: 10. 1 x flying base
The Dreadnought body parts (with two central ring parts) make up Thundabad 1's fuselage, with the Dreadnought weapon mounts serving as struts for the Krooz Missuls from the Megagargant. The latter have to be filled in with a suitable filler to avoid having an unsightly rectangular gap; these are used as propulsion units in the Landa. A WH40K searchlight (fromn the old Imperial vehicle accessories frame) is inserted into the Dreadnought upper body (i.e. the pilot's hatch) and serves as a main engine. The bottom of the Dreadnought is the front end of the Landa, with the shark-teeth fitting in nicely below two detail panels which serve as a cockpit. The 2 Squat Cyclops meltacannon are fitted with the nozzle (or muzzle) pointing backwards, and the spikes from the Orc club were glued to the new forward end as nosecones for the Tankbusta rokkits. Finally, 6 bits of Gothic cruiser (any type)antennae chopped to size were fitted onto the semicircular stubs on the Dreadnought body parts to make gun turrets (looking a bit like the ventral ball turret on a B-17G) and complete the Landa armament. Basecoat is red, as appropriate for Nazdakka's Bad Moonz army units of Eklips Boyz, Evil Sunz paid by Nazdakka in fuel from his Raffinareez. A few yellow panels, some with Nazdakka's black moon on, slot the Landa in the BM army; the green nosecones of the old Krooz Missuls harken back to the real Thunderbird 2 (not 1).
Oh - and a flying base, of course.....
cheers,
