Hi guys,

I've seen all the other posts up at the moment with necron armies and the wonderful edenite models, so I thought I'd pitch in with progress on my army so far. I was going to wait till I had the whole thing completed but recently enthusiasm is starting to wane and I really need to get them finnished soon. Hopefuly this post should give me the final motivation I need to finish off the army. I'm notoriously bad for making a good start and then abandoning a project like this, so I really want this to be the first army I can completely paint up and call finished.


So here's what I have so far, not particualy inspiring but there's some heavy destroyer conversions in there which I don't think I've seen anybody try and a destroyer lord too. The bases are something I'm quite dissapointed in so I'd particually appreciate feedback in that direction. The idea was that it's a necron homeworld and therefore pretty much devoid of life but that just makes the bases look flat and boring.
Please forgive the varying lights these photos are taken in. I was trying my best but I just couldn't find anything which really showed up the colours and highlighting on the metal.

Reall nice looking toys, the destroyers look great! I really wish I could have based more to a stand as the bigger group has a nice feel to it. All the luck with finishing the army, too often I start an idea then move onto something else before its finished.


What are you using as flayed ones might I ask? I want to make a unit but havent got any good models immeditly accessable.

I've got some edenite infiltrators to paint up, I've tried one as a test though and it came out as a pink blob so need to adjust my approach slightly.

I've had just about enough of infantry for now though, so they'll have to wait until I've managed to get some vehicles done.

Any chance of seing a pic of the edenite infiltration infantry?

I tried but my camera wasn't good enough to show the detail up properly. The models aren't brilliant, I belive there were problems when mastering the greens, but Tom at exodus wars put them up as a limited run despite contradicting his highly professional standards because of public demand for them. Otherwise I think he would've ditched the lot.

That said I beleive a few people have managed to do good things with them, and the pose is certainly bang on. There used to be some pics in the exodus wars section of the boards but it looks like they didnt migrate across.

I did however manage to get a shot of a "clutter" of spiders



Plus I finnished off my first obelisk. It needs a rethink though as highlighting every single panel on it took ages and ended up looking a little overly busy and bright, rather than the dark and moody I was aiming for.

Wow those spiders are amazing! How did you make them? I am really curious about the head and claws.
