On the weekend of the 6th and 7th February 3 veteran EPIC UK players did travel to Brussels to fight for Blighty! Games were played, drinks were drunk and the event ran over schedule ... but it was all great fun, and you know what ... JOE JEPHSON won the Warlords International EPIC event. Well-done to him and a great start to the 2010 EPIC season.

On the Sunday we were invited to join in a multi-player game of EPIC called 'Meggageddon'. It was brilliant and the rules were pretty good too ... so good that EPIC UK asked the Belgian and French players if we could write our own multi-player rule set using the 'Meggageddon' rules. They said yes, so hopefully you will see these multi-player rules being loaded onto our website soon ... stay tuned to www.epic-uk.co.uk ... it's all happening there!

Yesterday (9th February 2010) was the final date someone could enter the EPIC UK Full Scale Assault (FSA) free ticket give away. The question was:

As its EPIC UK's first birthday, this question is all about firsts. EPIC UK released its first official Codex (Space Marines) on the 1st April 2009. How many downloads off this document occurred within the first month?

The answer was 235 times the Space Marine army book was downloaded within April 2009 (to date the Space Marine book has been downloaded 1,231 times ... that's pretty good). The winner of the free ticket is (*drum roll*) DAVID THOMAS. Yes indeedly, not only is he luckly in tournaments but he's also luckly in ... well everything really. So David Thomas has won free entry to Full Scale Assault, but what about the rest of you? Haven't you entered yet?

Full Scale Assault: EPIC Tournament 27th March and a Gaming Day on the 28th March 2010.
Location: Mansfield UK

Its £7 for the one day event with three games (3,000pts) but no food (advise you bring something with you; there are shops around the area but a little distance away). This is a great 'one dayer' to get you back into the swing of things; all the information you could possibly require can be taken from our website, either download it or email us (www.epic-uk.co.uk).

EPIC UK is also planning on holding another EPIC gaming day - 28th March 2010. This isn't a tournament; we book the hall all day and you can play any game of EPIC, any size! Last year we had 2x 10,000pt battles! It costs £4 to attend the gaming day and this can be booked on our website just like the tournament.

If you haven't got a Paypal account, or you don't like entering tournaments online, fear not! Email EPIC UK (go to www.epic-uk.co.uk and click on the 'contact us' webpage) and let us know you want to enter this fantastic event an we will send you details on how to enter by cheque.

YOU CAN ENTER BOTH THE TOURNAMENT AND THE GAMING DAY!

To be guaranteed a place enter quickly, there are only 26 places for the event ... and 7 have already gone!

That's it from me ... I hope to see you all at Full Scale Assault

Toodle Pip!
