I am trying to make up a small game of 40k style.

either a space crusade corridor game or even Necromunda style. but I want to add flavour to it.

eg Space crusade doesn't have the Tau and the Necrons are limited and no rules for destroyers etc.

Chaos is very vanilla no difference between the four major powers. is there a medium at which I can get the added flavour/layers/add-ons etc yet keep it simple stupid?

I have the rules for Both space crusade, and Necromunda plus all of the WH40k fourth edition books.

For figs I have the following:

three Space Marine Squads with the following:
sergeant
missile launcher x1
heavy plasma gun x1
heavy bolter x1
bolters x3
twin-linked lascannon x1

One squad of Space Marine Scouts:
scouts with bolt pistols and close combat weapons x5
scout armed with heavy bolter x1

Chaos:
bolters x4
heavy plasma x1
space crusade Dreadnoughts x2 [6x weapons: assault-cannon,plasma,lascannon,conversion beam,

Orks:
Ork boyz close combat weapon/pistol x7
Ork Boy heavy shooter x1
Gretchins x20

Necrons:
Necron warriors x12 [space crusade andriods]
Necron Immortals x5 [old school 1st edition Necrons metal]
Necron Destroyers x2 [old school ist edition Necrons metal]

Tyranids:
Genesteallers x4 [from 3rd edition space hulk]

Eldar:
Dark reaper exarch x1
Eldar guardians x8

I was mainly making these up for a re-vamped space crusade game but the rules are to plain/flat I want something that's more robust and has alot of different levels.

And ideas or advice?

Cheers
GW

Sounds like fun.

Check out the kill team rules. you will have the same problem that they dont cover everything, but they may give you some ideas or pointers and you can fill in the blanks with your own knowledge.

5th ed 40k has a good portion on it I believe (near the back of the book). Failing that I'm sure you can always google it.

Try 1st edition 40k? Add Tau and necrons to that?
