Can the defender in Ambush have any forces in reserve? Either teleporters, transported in aircraft etc? It doesn't seem to be covered one way or the other.

Also, can the concealment counters move in Ambush?

The Defender has to divide their forces into two "contingents" and for deployment:

Quote:

Before the game begins, the attacker designates one of the defender’s contingents to be the target of the ambush; the other contingent may only enter play as reinforcements, which are delayed one turn.

So, the defender can have aircraft and teleport reserves, but they are not available until Turn 2.

Nope.

If a scenario doesn't specifically state that Concealment counters can move, then they are immoblile... that should be in the Concealment rules.

Hmm, that may be a big problem for me, as I have a formation of wyches soley let up for air transport and don't have the models for the raiders they'd get instead.

That really sucks.

They'll show up Turn 2 then.

Thought so, just asked because MoK's rules pack allows concealment markers for portals/gates etc, but specifies they can't move.

Yes, and on foot as complete cannon fodder. Sigh.

EDIT: Surely turn 4 since the formation consists of movement 15cm troops and the troops are delayed an extra turn due to the scenario?

And, as Dark Eldar, you should, due to the Attacker/Defender special rule, always get to choose to be attacker if you desire... unless fighting Necrons.

Though I'm not sure MoK included that in the rule pack.

Why cannon fodder?  They can deploy from the aircraft as normal Turn 2.

And, if you're the attacker, they can show up Turn 1... or, if you don't want to use them, you can stick them in your "not in play" contingent.

Nope, that wasn't anywhere in the rule pack.

I'm starting to think that running a tournament based on an unfinished, uncollated book is a disaster waiting to happen. I can't be the only one confused on many of these issues.

But isn't that part of the idea - to have a fun day, thrash out some thoughts, share a joke or two etc
