I've got bored with waiting now.

Frye - I'm bored. You're boring me, Zoidberg. I'm gonna go watch TV.

From the episode "Anthology of Interest".

I'm glad I didn't have my heart set on these. I'm even more glad (gladder?) that I didn't shell out money for a deposit for something that may never get produced.

And, since we aren't a big, established company, we can't afford to make a serious, multi-thousand dollar mistake on this stuff!

So... only 5 people work there... and they never speak to each other (or to customers who have paid for vaporware).

Sounds like the LaUL is only open to the 28mm club, since we wouldn't want to produce something (we already committed to producing) that would "lose thousands of dollars".

These models aren't coming, kids.  :boo:

Okay. So this is it...  :heart-break:

But with the excellent Edenites at our hands there are only a few infantry "Robots with rifles" missing. For example I am missing one with a snake like body. Maybe one of the usual suspects could pick some interest in making that stuff? Of course only if EW has no intentions of introducing similar miniatures in their Edenite line in the future.

I plan on using my already painted old Chaos Dreads as Destroyers ... both standard & heavy ...     :p  ???  :Ikonforums:   Now ... Wraiths are the next thing ... to proxy.  However, I'm still going to wait before I ask for my $$$ back ...    I'm in no hurry and I'll hold out a bit more ... :glare:

For the snake body part I'd recommend the solution with guitar wire. Much more durable than anything cast in metal or resin (a design that is going to produce a LOT of casting issues IMO - at least if it is going to be a single piece). A torso to go with that would be cool. I like the solution using DRM bodyguards for this, but something actually armed with claws would be ace. However these clawa are flimsy as hell and are going to be a bugger to cast no matter how you produce them if you want "truescale".

Theres currenly nothing on the EW slate to produce stuff to plug the gaps in a proxy necron army. Generic skeletons with rifles are fine, but the other stuff is playing with fire in terms of IP. It would look rather suspicious if EW just happened to produce everything needed to make a proxy Necron army.

O-man's angry robot spider could easily be modified to make Destroyer bodies. Regular destroyer can be done easily while the heavy version could use a long barrelled weapon of sorts.

A "destructor", "long-barrelled destructor" and "destructor chief" are next on my todo list after the astronuns, which are nearly finished.

A "serpent ghost" would be just too fragile and difficult to cast.

Very true. Wound guitar strings have a tempered steel core with either brass, bronze, nickel, or nickeled-steel wrappings. That, and one string ($2-$3) is enough to make several dozen models.

And the destructor models sound very interesting.  :O

Well I asked for my deposit back and Wargames Factory refunded it within 3 hours so I can't fault them for that. If the sprues ever do go I sale I'll probably still get some, but I doubt they will ever see the light of day.

Was it something like 1dollar per sprue or something we had to pay in advance? If I recall correct I ordered something between 5-15 sprues and have already labeled those dollars gone. So if they ever make those minis, good. But i doubt it.

Besides those edenites are much better.

But actually after their "excuse" letter I have gotten little annoyed. If they were not going to make them asap, why did they asked for our prepayment? They should have said: We dont want to make 6mm thingies for you now, but lets see in the future.

Well ... we've said, this before ... they should give up JBRs designs to a company that could make them. And not take over a year to do it  ...  But at this point, with the exception of the Wraith ... we got everything covered anyway ... And I think we can cover that ourselves ... :)

Sent WGF an e-mail about what the status is on their 6mm Andriods ... So again ... we'll see ...                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  Hi Ralph - sorry for the delay in getting back to you. We're hoping to have a lot of news for next week - and we'll post it all up on the site and email everyone. Sorry it's been taking so long.

Thanks!
Tony

Props to you for sticking with this.

My patience ran out some weeks ago.
