The use of a Warhound, Tbolts and a lone Shadowsword has been noted

Warhound is in because I made a CAD one... it was the first thing I added to the list!

T-Bolts are in because my AA is seriously lacking on the ground (I only own 3 Trojans so can only have a single AA formation on the ground).

And Shadowsword because A - A Deathstrike Silo doesn't fit with the need to be mobile (and I needed some TK in there somewhere), and B - It's still better than even the NetEA Baneblade! (I did consider a Stormblade, but decided I needed the TK ability).

Quote:

What! No Bombards, Griffins, Hellhounds, Baneblades, Arty Companies, Snipers etc! I am shocked!

Bombards - I don't own any Krieg-painted Bombards (yet; you may have seen my latest CAD project!).
Griffins - Not in the Krieg list.
Hellhounds - No Krieg hellhounds painted (yet)
Baneblades - I have armoured AT/AP in the form of the Tank Platoon, so didn't need a Baneblade. If I dropped the tank Platoon, I probably would have taken a Baneblade and a Stormblade or Stormsword to replace them (actually that's a damned good idea I should have done that and gotten my activations up to 12!). Dammit!
Arty Company - I only own 3 Trojans and needed to take an AA formation, so no heavy Arty of any sort for me (only Centaur-lugged Arty).
Snipers - No Snipers in the Krieg list.

Quote:

I see no problem with this personally but seeing as you can't comment on the inclusion of "crutch" units in your own list I've taken up your role and mentioned it!

I think I've made a fair defence of my choices. Maybe.

Quote:

I think your going to like my Guard lists this year  :)

Next NetEA tourney I bring my Steel Legion to, it'll be Griffons and (light) Marauder Bombers all-round.

Interesting, both you and me have gone for speedy versions of our armies rather than the sit in trenches versions... well if I can count an army that nearly all move at 15cm as speedy anyway!

Only natural, the Metagame of this tournament is likely to demand mobile armies that can accomplish scenario objectives.

Here's my "black horse of the tournament" list, my "bit of everything" Dark Eldar...

Code Sample:

Kabal Coterie          250   525   (BTS + SC)
 Archon               50
 Barge of Pleasure    125
 Warriors             100

Kabal Syndicate        200   250
 Ravager              50

Wych Cult              200   300
 Beasts               100

Slavebringer           200   200

Reaver Gang            200   200

Scourge Flight         225   225

Heavy Barge            250   500
 Extra Vessel of Pain 250

Tormentor              500   500

Bombers                250   250

Total 3000

Still need to make one new Raider and fix a few models before the tourny though.

I've heard rumors that a Tau army will be taken to this event.

Reg HQ + 3 Malcadors + Hydra + Enforcer 625
Inf Comp 275
7 Malcador Defenders, 3 Malcador Anhiliators + Hydra + Enforcer 700
Hydras 150
Disciples of Xaphan 300
Sentinels 100
Valdors 250
Valdors 250
Minotaurs + Enforcer 350

Anyone else sharing?

Just re-reading this, you've only listed 3 Enforcers, though you're entitled to take 6 in a 3k game.

Oops. The two Valdors and the Hydras also have Enforcers, must have re-typed it up and missed them off somehow (checked the list I sent to Ryan and they're correct on there). I know it would make more sense background / feel wise for one of those Enforcers to be with the other infantry, but I wanted the blast marker removal with the 3 strong formations.

And to give the more experimental stuff a benchmark, I am using Biel Tann Eldar (if I can make it).
My friend Steve's coming and using his Imperial Guard army, so that'll be another core army there too. It'll be his first epic tournament so play nice with him

Well I am still hoping to come with 'boring' standard Eldar:-

Guardians + Wraithguard + WraithLord
Aspects + Aut + EX
Guardians + Wave Serpents
Night Wings
Falcons (with Firestorms)
Void Spinner
Storm Serpent
Jet Bikes (with vyper)
Jet Bikes (with vyper)
Rangers (5)
Rangers (4)
Rangers (4)
Wraithgate

--------
And I agree Honda, Yme Loc's Tau list is intruiging
