You could play an Aussie campain based on australia`s map
If you take sidney, you could stay or try to capture the next city and so on
but if you loose you have to retreat

Aussies defend your country

If I took Sydney I would definitely leave.

Oooh! I do!

Well, Tasmania. We're an island just south of Melbourne. We don't have drop bears down here, and its rare to find a wild roo large enough to ride. Although I have seen hand raised roos grow large enough down here to support a full grown adult's weight.
Mainly we just eat them down here though.

I wasn't aware you guys held tourneys up on the big island. Might have to pop up for one sometime :)

Freebooter, keep your eyes open for a mid-late year tourney. If LeanonRuss runs his around March/April I might run HB10 around July/August to keep Epic Tournies closer together to keep the game fresh in people's minds. Check on Taccomms and also WargamerAu for announcements.  :yay:

Dobbsy

If your event is held at the same location (Berwick), I think a bi-yearly event would still get the numbers.

If you ran two such events being Heavy Bolter and [insert name here] I know of 4 of us that would give it the support. More tournaments are always welcomed.  :agree:

Will do... I'll drag together a playable army then that I'm happy with in the next few months :)

We do indeed have the Tasmanian Devil. Vicious little feckers that they are.

They are indeed; I've read my Dark Future books.

Do they issue the hats with corks hanging off them as well?

Don't be silly. That is a myth.

E&C: On a semi-related note, my hat is made of kangaroos. Had it imported specially... no corks on it though.

Corks on hats are hard to come by over here, but I did improvise my own version once.

Good to see the little men battling on your side of the world too, hope you guys meet up for some games.

Mark can you organise a trip this year if you give the lovely wife a heads up? At this stage, I'm planning to run Heavy Bolter again this year so here's some advanced notice  :yay: Surely, that trip to Melbourne is on the cards?

Hopefully?  I have been angling at a trip co-inciding with CanCon 2011 with the hope that another Epic tournament will occur!

Sorry MOK,

Reply is a bit slow but being a Queenslander I've been outside enjoying decent weather, sunshine, beaches etc that the other states like Victoria wish they had... :)

Anyhow Bruce (Zap123) and I live in Brisbane and we also know a few other epic players. Send us a PM a month or so before you arrive and hopefully we can catch up. I go away a bit with work but should be able to organise a game.

All the best with the travels. The distance between locations is often a shock for people, I remember trying to explain to some Singaporean friends why I had to move house when I was posted from Brisbane to Darwin. When they got a posting to a new base/location they just had a slightly longer or shorter drive to work.

Geoff.

Work for Tourism Queensland do we?   Let the State sledging begin!!  :yay:

I love that other states imagine Victoria to always be raining - even in summer LOL It's so ... quaint of them.

Funny 'cause we've largely been in a drought for the last 7 odd years and our weather's pretty damn nice without the sweaty humidity or the Box Jellyfish/Irukandji.    It's good to swim in the ocean and not have to worry about being stung to death

Ah Ha.. Love it.

Well the small risk of getting stung doesn't bother me anywhere near as much as the risk of getting eaten by crocs bothered me living in NT or dying in a firework fueled firestorm on Territory day.

Actually in Queensland your probably more likely to be killed by a grey nomad from Victoria towing a caravan whilst on the way to the beach than when you get there :).

Now to mow the lawn for the third time in two weeks.
