Thanks DS :)

If the quality turns out to be high enough I'm hoping Tom will multiply them, but of course that is too early to tell just yet. How many variants also depends a bit on the economy, but for the time being I'm just hacking and sculpting away

Early WIP of the Jump Pack Edenite project. Just trying out different ideas and attempting to sculpt a decent 6mm skull that will cast well. The plan is to have a version with axe and pistol, one with sword and pistol and one with a heavy weapon.

These would also be great for Chaos renegades!

What sculpting tool do you use, is it just a fine pin or needle?  Great stuff! :)

More tinkering. They're still rather rough, but right now I'm just trying to get the basic shape down. Some will probably have their heads replaced as I'm not completely happy with them while some have yet to recieve heads (no pun intended) at all.

Maybe I should make some special 'deep hole' bases to handle those thick discs.

Hey, stop laughing.

Yeah maybe, they do fit those heavy metal EW bases nicely, but you need to be creative with the flocking for a plastic GW base.

On a side note: I'll try and sketch something up for the You-know-what after New Year. Tom has reserved a development budget in his absence so we might as well get it started once the hangovers have vanished.

For my Holiday project I am going to convert some Guild Jump troopers into some kind of decaysed Edenite Jump Troops. The idea was to replace heads and weapons and possibly resculpt part of the jetpack.

On a completely unrelated note: What sort of weapons would be available to Chaos Raptors?

They do look like really cool conversions/sculpts  :D

Not sure they'd be suitable for Raptors though if that's what you were going for - they look like normal humans with skull masks and jetpacks. Chaos Raptors are Space Marines in power armour, mutated power armour anyway, but still recognisably power armour. If it wasn't for the jetpacks or if they were relatively easily cut-off-able then they'd be perfect for modeling Vraksian Renegade Enforcers.

Hmm not so fond about the axes. Look like stone-age equipment    I like chainsaws.
Also not sure about the skull helmets. Replacing them with Striking Scorpion heads would do the trick i guess :)

Yeah, I surgically removed their marmaries. I just found the idea of skeletons with boobies a bit uhm... dubious...  :oo:

Don't wory about the size of the axes: They have been carved down to size: I just needed some material to work with. Also some chainsaw teetch has been added to both axes and swords.
Obviously these guys cannot be wearing Power Armor since they're definitely not space marines. However I can boost the size of the shoulders a bit to make the former female jump troopers look more butch.
As for the skull heads. Well, some way of distinguishing these as undead is needed.
