I agree, SM jet Bikes profiles should be 200 for five, no PD but bolter instead.

About Malcadors variants:

I reduced the demolisher cannon profile to 4BP and no TSM to keep the vehicle cost low. So 3 malcas variants cost 350 points.


Valdor (variant with big plasma gun & melta gun on right side):

- move: 15cm
- armor save: 2+
- caf: +1
- note: PD(1)
- weapons:
- main weapon: plasma gun
Range: 50cm
Attack dice: 1
To-Hit: 3+
TSM: -4
Note: -
- secondary weapon: 1 multi-melta
Range: 25cm
Attack dice: 1
To-Hit: 3+
TSM: -2

3 in a detachment, Morale 4, BP 2, BP 4; Cost: 350 (Cost adjusted in comparison to Leman Russ Executioner)

Malcador (anti personal variant):

- move: 15cm
- armor save: 2+
- caf: +4
- note: PD(6)
- weapons:
- main weapon: demolisher cannon
Range: 50cm
Attack dice: 4BP

The Executioner is better or equal armed IMO because a 75cm range(scondary LasC.)  is more useful and has only are worse save +3 instead of +2 but better CAF ah and slower(so the multi melta is double bad)
so it has to be cheaper IMO

maybe change it to a normal demolisher cannon(vindicator/demolisher)
50cm +4 -3 ignores cover
that would leave that nice to-hit+4 value

Thanks Ulric for your feedback.

After getting the minis in my hands, I think it would be better to replace the "demolisher cannon" by a battle cannon 50cm/4+/-2. The front weapon is too small to represent a demolisher cannon.

For the Tank Hunter version -> add penetrating + 1 to big weapon and caf +2 to keep a 350 points cost.

It would be cool if if can get all detachment variants to cost the same.

If I compare to the Mammoth: 300 for 3:
15cm/3+/+3/1 battle cannon 75cm/5+/-2/Turret + autocannons 75cm/2/5+/-1 + PD(4)

So here are my new propositions :) :


Valdor (variant with big plasma gun & melta gun on right side):
15cm/2+/+2/1*plasma cannon 50cm/1/3+/-4/Penetrating +1 + 1* multi-melta 25cm/1/3+/-2 + PD(2)

AntiPersonal variant:
15cm/2+/+5/1* Battle cannon 50cm/4+/-2 + 2*autocannons /75cm/5+/-1 + PD(6)

TwinLasGun variant:
15cm/2+/+3/1* Battle cannon 50cm/4+/-2 + 2*lasguns/75cm/5+/-1 + 1*twinlasgun/75cm/5+/-2 + PD(3)

Battle cannon:
15cm/2+/+3/1* Battle cannon 75cm/4+/-2 + 3*lasguns/75cm/5+/-1 + PD(3)

What do you think about this ?

Just for your reference...

The Battlecannon varient of the Malcador is just called the "Malcador".
The heavy bolter covered one is called the "Malcador Defender"
The lascannon one is the "Malcador Annihilator".

Also the main weapon on the Valdor isn't a plasma weapon, it's called a "Neutron Laser Projector", and its secondary weapon is a single lascannon.

No idea about netEpic rules, but I hope these details are of use to those of you having a go at them.

why not simply use the standard demolisher cannon 50cm +4 -3 ignores cover
@ Scream according to the weapons E&C gave us
your stats in the first post seemed cool for me
reducing the main cannon to a non template weapon sounds fair IMO

could you post anything like that: "its something between a volcano cannon and turbolaser destructors" by comparsion?

I don't like the penetrating +1 for the plasma cannon. Just to keep coherency with other plasma weapons. The plasma annihilator and the plasma destructor, for exemple, don't have any penetrating bonus.

To the Malcadors
I think its better to go straight after the weaponary you can see
3 Malcadors 350
should have 3 LasC.

3 Malcador Defender 300
should have 2 LasC.
and 4 Heavy Bolter, which I like/prefer

3 Malcador Annihilator 350
should have 4 LasC.

Move/AS/CAF sounds good  on all variants

maybe just give all variants 1-2 PD

Point costs sounds good :agree:

For the malcadors/annihilators/defenders, I placed the weapons zombocom and E&C detailed.

For the valdors, as there's no weapon existing for the Neutron Laser Projector, it still possible to:

- reduce weapon range to 75cm
- change the to-hit to 4+
- reduce the penetrating bonus to +1

In your first post they are a bit different and compared to the pictures they seem to fit well
Maybe the hull mounted "LasC." on the battle cannon variant  isn´t a real LasC.
could be my mistake :D

I have absolute no problem with the neutron laser :agree:

About weapons, I follow the weapons indicated by E&C as he is the one who Epic-ized the malcadors variants, I think he knows what he has modelised.

I reduced the valdor's Neutron Laser Projector to 4+/penetrating +1 and kept the cost to 400.

I think all these new units need a battlefield test :)
