As far as the Broadsides + Stealth Apoc formation goes, I can't say that I'm sold on the synergy of the two suit types. Yes, you get a ML that's harder to hit, but you trade that for getting closer to the opponent so they can assault your invisible ML and kick you in the teeth that way.

So, my general feeling is "meh".

From an Epic perspective though, I think it's absolutely brilliant! This gives the list exactly what it's been lacking all this time and really capitalizes on some abilities that we've built into the 6 series. Not only that, but it immmediately resolves all the issues regarding the Manta and I think it goes some way towards addressing the turret issues with the Hammerhead.

NOT!

I think we'll pass on this "opportunity", thank you.  :agree:

I think we should follow the FW/Apoc formation names as long as they make sense as a formation in Epic.

Seriously though, if we do we're applying 40K naming doctrine to Epic which doesn't translate directly due to A/formations being larger in Epic and
B/the unit make-up in the epic formations is also different to 40K and possibly not working well in combination with ech other.

Hence my point; "as long as they make sense as a formation in Epic". If the Epic formation is an exact copy of the 40k ones, (within the assumed parameters for basing) we should try to use the names if possible, as long as they aren't too silly.

For example, a necron formation of 3 monoliths really should be called a Monolith Phalanx.

I`m pretty sure that the Apocalypse Broadside formation don't has a single Stealth Suit as its leader but an XV89 Crisis Battle Suit Shas'El.
