We've all seen the incredible models being made by Otter, E&C, and others over the last year or so, and I'm sure many of you have stuff made by them. However, almost all of them seem to be either Ordered(Empire?) models or Non-Ordered.
As an Eldar player, I was wondering if there might be any Space Elf vehicles coming along in the future, or already existing ones that I've somehow managed to miss. Since FW killed their Falcons and Night Spinners (and I imagine the Wave Serpents currently available are merely leftover stock), these are a major part of the Eldar army that are only available, at inflated prices and with generally horrible models, from SG.
So, are we likely to see any Space Elf Hawks or Space Elf Robots in the future? Once again, thanks to Otter and the like for their tireless efforts in supporting the game that GW seems to have forgotten about.

Eldar models aren't easy, man. Compound curves in at least 2 directions (if you're lucky). If you are asking for someone to draw up a Falcon and variants, well, I dunno, I've considered it. What stops me is the fact that I would want like 100+ of them (literally) myself, and I don't see me being able to cast more than 2 by myself (or 10 with help*).

Well, that and would take me all year to actually do it, and even then they'd only be rough copies of the existing models (certainly no better than the SG models, which are FINE, geez - how anyone can like the FW firestorm over the SG one is a mystery to me). The only reason I might consider doing full-on grav-tanks is so I can impose my own version of the tanks on the rest of you (which would probably go over like a lead balloon, but I'll burn that bridge when I come to it). I do have an idea for a much better (in my opinion) wave serpent.

Oh, another reason might be if I were ever moved to make a new-style equivalent to the warp hunter (as an AV, not a super-heavy a-la the Cobra). But that would be a dubious unit, so that probably won't happen.

That said I am trying, but there is alot of trial and error involved and I am slow.

Well, for some reason I like the FW Firestorm a lot more than the SG one... Sure, it's ridiculously fragile, but it's a much more "eldar" design, at least in my opinion.
OK, fair enough. I understand that the Eldar vehicles are a bitch to model (you could probably do reasonably well stealing the meshes from the DoW games, but that would be somewhat illegal...), and probably pretty nasty to cast, too. It's good to see that you're doing some work, and the Support platform looks especially nice.
Thanks for the reply :)

if you came up with something there was a great demand for, you could consider doing a run in metal. thus avoiding all that resin casting.

Having painted an Eldar army on commission, I was actually quite impressed with their models, thinking they were the best that SG produced...especially the Scorpion & Cobra. The Wave Serpent had a little extra detail on it, as did the Falcon, but they were still paintable.

I'm curious, what is it that you don't like about the SG models?

Not all of them are bad. The Superheavies and Titans are beautiful, especially; the Scorpion chassis is one of my favourite models. What I don't like are the Falcon-based ones. The Falcon looks too blocky, especially the in-my-opinion very overemphasised hull armour plates. The Fire Prism is the same, but with a ridiculously OTT crystal as well. The weapon-platforms look comical with their massive gun barrels, the wave serpent looks silly with its chunky "wings" (I know they're meant to be the shield generators, but the FW/new plastic 40K model is much nicer IMO), and the firestorm just looks ugly... The Night Spinner is the only Falcon-based vehicle that I actually like, out of the SG range.
