What's chaotic about it? It just looks like a Heresy era Rhino.

Edit - not that there's anything wrong with that. I just feel that I missed something.

The exhaust pipes are clearly from the new one.

It doesn't half bug me that due to cost saving measures traitor legions are presented as having the latest toys to save on design time. Old gear for teh legions verse new gear for teh loyalists makes a nice contrast.



I can't abide all those skulls and stuff. Slap on a few Chaos icons/badges though and you are away!

Yes it is indeed I beleive a new rhino with old bits stuck on. Its how to get round scale creep in 40k that left the old beast horribly undersized!

I also prefer the simpler RT Era look for Chaos Legion vehicles.  Some tasty iconography, lots of weathering, and maybe a few other basic diferences.  Never been a fan of the ornate cast iron fences on Mk2+ vehicles decorated with chains & Halloween goodies.  

GW goes a little OTT with spikes and plenty of hobbyists take it up a notch by applying gobs of GS & bits.  Not that I can't see demon-possesed vehicles being in the Chaos Legions, but why would a demon want to possess a lowly troop transport or MBT when you could get into something exciting like a true demon engine?  Are all the "good" vehicles taken by other demons?  If you run out of Rhinos, Predators, & Land Raiders do you go after the farm equipment?  Beware the Kombines of Khorne!!
