To be fair to them 10th December was the stated date for the galleries going up, marked as subject to change. Probably depends how busy CS is.

My bad then, I didn't realize that.

For some reason "December" just stuck in my mind. I'll go home now.  :peace:

Yeah, sorry guys. Work has been frantic again. I am working on this. I dont think that I will hit the 10th, but the weekend sounds realistic.

Sorry for keeping you all in suspense!

Suspense? But I've seen them all. They're grand.
There's one which....
And then there's....
And the really big one in that category.....
And - oh I could go on and on and on and on.

Oh but you've not seen them yet!
Oh dear, what a shame           :p

Sorry guys, bad me. Off to stand in a corner for the rest of the day

Not that I would have had time to do anything, but looks like I missed this years compo :(

Pity, Lex - used to like your dioramas in particular

My wife got the paints out to paint some of her stuff she made for christmas, most of them pretty dried up. Darn useless GW paint pots. Hope the new ones are better. I still got the first edition of metalic paints (the box of 6) and they are still perfect!

Can't wait to see the entries, may inspire me to start again. My 6 winged Tyranid Warriors have finally finished after 1 year, but not painted them yet. Got so many dioramas ideas, but just no time to do them :(

The fact that this year's posts are anonymous will certainly be interesting ... :)

Oddly, those first Citadel paint sets rock for durability and I still have quite a few pots left as well.  Amazing considering they are easily over 20 years old.

This Glyn very strongly suspects the more recent paints were designed with built in obsolescence and ability to go dry quickly to force you to buy more. As well as steadily you charging you ever greater prices for ever smaller pots too, gota love GW :(

I found you can pick up empty old style paint pots from ebay, although not sure of the durability.

The old pots are good, but for some reason the top of the pots break easily for some, but not others. Possibly slight change in the raw material used.

I like the anonymous post idea, less discouragement to compete against one particular participant that generates an extremely high quality entries ;)

We've considered taking some of the older Citadel paints that are now out of production and going to a paint store to get them colour matched.

Considering you can get a quart for what GW would charge for a an ounce and half of their paint it's not that bad a deal... and think of the fun you could have with a couple of quarts of electric blue.

That's not a bad idea.
