How about a cut in the armour (complete with trimming) and vents recessed?

Only a quick mockup, but something like this?

Aye, but have nice parallel lines inside the vent holes.

And cut quarter circles out of the corners of the trim.

How about some sort of targetter under the armour? This one looks a little like silly eyes but you get the idea:

Could have a targetter on top of the armour, some of the warhound's guns have one there.

Those four tubes look stranges. They look so...limb, wobbly.

This might be interesting

They're based directly on the interior pieces of the FW shadowsword, as is the cylinder in the top slot of the back of this cannon.

Might make the connecting tubes (the curved bit) more angular, to negate any limpness.

Considering that these conductors are the cannons main source of power wouldn't it be better to have them UNDER the armour?
Is there even a need for them considering that the cannon might be directly powered by the Robots reactor?

i always thought they were supposed to be big capacitors, so youd need them even with a reactor. they probably would look cooler if you armoured them tho. things comming along great so far.

I am indeed planning on selling them. Plus, the printing cost is nowhere near the horror I had feared and so he'll make it onto the market sooner than expected.

The towers in the Shadowsword might look a little like a stack of old vacuum valves. I put them there to look cool, and to fit with the aesthetics of the Shadowsword weapon. I figured they're part of the massive power loop for the magnetic focussing array rather than direct power supplies to the weapon itself.

Also, anyone noticed how the Shadowsword gun is actually just a barrel? it doesn't attach to anything inside the tank.
