I really like the models personally... but I can't get out group to play TUS in space, as we all have gone and bought so many ships.

For the Dindrenzi it is stated that they design their ships all based on a similar pattern.

One of the guys at our local gaming club has some sort of connection with Spartan Games. I am not sure what exactly he does but I know he has been spending a lot of time at their head office site. He was a big fan of Unchartered Seas and naturally is quite keen on Firestorm Armada.
A couple of players from local gaming club have expressed an interest in starship gaming but since the demise of Mongoose's B5 ACTA, none have actually been played. I have tried to see if anyone wanted to give Full Thrust/Starmada a go but so far no takers.
If Firestorm Armada encourages several people to actually pick up a starter fleet and give starship gaming a go, then for me that is a good thing. Either the rules system will prove to be a good one and I will have a new game to learn. Or even if game is no good then there will probably be half a dozen players with a fleet of starships that I can hopefully persuade to try either Full Thrust/Starmada.
As to the ships released so far I have to agree with previous posters. None of the fleets previewed so far have grabbed my attention but I know there are 2 more factions in initial rulebook with probability of more factions to come. Having spent a fair bit already on fleets from GZG/Brigade/Cold Navy, not to mention SW/ST/B5/BSG I am more interested in a system that will let me use my existing figures.
Cheers
James
