CHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEZZZZZZZ!!!!!!!!!

Today's Cheez report is brought to you by Otterware. When you think cheese, think Otter!

So a way cool package arrived and when I opened it, all sorts of Otterware popped out. I must say that the cheese molds must be of the highest quality as the end result is very impressive. Also, Quad potato throwers and Greek monsters are a very tasty addition.

I am already thinking about my next order...

WIP pictures sometime tomorrow. My cheese, potato throwers, and Greek monsters will be primed in the next 24 hours.

Part II WIP Painting

The first stages of winterizing my cheese

Trying something different

And something even more interesting...

The models themselves went together quite well and only had minor touches of flash. So very little filing in general.

If you're wondering about the artillery company, I like the looks of the Medusa gun better, so they'll just "counts as" Earthshakers. Then I'll use the Earthshaker guns as heavy AA...which I may have said already.

Anyway, things are zipping right along. Hopefully, the next time I field the Krieg, they'll look like Krieg.

Cheers,

Fantastic army. You are such a fast painter compared to me. Lovely schemes, great bases, and fantastic details. Loving the single file infantry. I must say I loved all three Cheeze Carriers, so what are your plans? Three Krieg armies?

Keep it up, and I'll keep following. Next year, I might actually get some paint on my Otterware.

One of the things that I noticed in the Vraks book is that the Krieg used lots of different camo schemes. They did also seem to have a lot of monotone greens and greys, but it does seem that camo is fairly prevalent.

So the plan is to put the two light colored Cheese together to support one company, then the others will transport support companies, like Grenadiers. There's one other camo scheme I want to do for another company, so I'll most likely get another couple to support them.

If you have Vraks Pt. I, page 33 and 82 are the schemes I am currently enamored with.

Page 82 i will use for my Artillery. Page 81 1st tank will be my Tanks (but middle tank Page 33 is interesting too). Grenadiers Centaurs will be plain grey. Only have to think up some for Quad-launchers etc.

Im considering p82 for my armour as well, possibly done using a can of grey spray and some blue-tac over a dark grey.

I also like both schemes on p83 though...decisions, decisions :grinning:

Ok, here's the update for the past couple of days...

Firstly, the completed winterized cheezecarrier

Some mashed potato throwers (just in time for Thanksgiving)

A future exercise for these two formations will be to build some trench like gun pits for them to sit in to represent their non-transportable mode. Right now, I'm thinking the pits will be able to hold two guns, so 2 x gun pits for each formation.

To be continued...

And my initial attempts at duplicating the page 33 scheme in Vraks Pt. I

I got fairly close to the tone that I wanted for the dark spots, but I think I'll end up going back and darkening them just a touch before I start the highlighting and recess work.

I'm also fiddling around with how I'm going to get some infantry figures in there. I think that looks too good not to do.

Cheers,
