Welcome home Daemonkin, nice to see you're continuing, and very nicely too by the looks of it.
Hopefully at some stage I'll get back to it too and see them in the flesh (not to mention whittle down their numbers   )

Nice Mantis Warriors. I pity the one who has to paint the Astral Claws or Minotaurs :D

I could do Claws. Minotaurs...I'd rather just take the head shot.

Ah you only need a magnifying lense and a 10/0 brush :)
The real challenge is to apply the paint before it dries on the 3 or so hairs of the brush

My Luna Wolves WIP can be used as Space Sharks ina jiffy but I think I'm going to go with Howling Griffons for the loyalist guys after I get a 3k force of Mantis Warriors done.

"But Daemonkin they are red/yellow quarters" I hear you cry! (actually a friend is doing Novamarines in 40k and I almost have him convinced to do them in epic too!)

I was actually thinking of doing them in their Badab camo - burnt umber:

Some more progress. Crappy photos and some basing needs to be sorted out but anyway:

Next up will be to complete the THawk and the 2nd tac formation in the background. Then onto dev/ass and some armour.

The same army in two scales is cool. The beauty of a fast and simple paint scheme is that it is simply fast and beautiful! These look nice!

Army so far (along with buildings painted quickly with foundation paints and magic wash*

*Magic Wash™ - GW devlan mud or badab black wash can be used to make any quick paint job look remarkable simply by adding some magic wash.
