The outcome is interesting.
I mean...sure the Buntfarbenanstrich looks amazing. But remember it is for the Death Korps of Krieg. All the Vraks books depict most of the vehicles and artillery in various shades of grey and only some few in dark green and brown tones.
Neither uses the other two paint schemes i provided here. The only common nominator is that the color schemes are inspired by late WWI camouflage and the DKoK is as a whole inspired by WWI (and WWII if you look at the Gorgons).

Now i'm even more unsure

I think your results are distorted in favour of Buntfarbenanstrich more than normal because its the only example you've actually fully painted, and thus it look far more attractive :yay:

Use us to inform your decision very slightly, but almost entirely go with what you think looks best and/or which you prefer to paint. You’re the one who has to paint them and use them and it often comes down to gut instinct as to which one prefers I find.

It may just be the camera but the ochre looks a bit too cream like in those photos, I’d go for a more darker yellow, like GW desert yellow.

Personally I’m going to go with one of the schemes from the Vraks books, or one using the traditional Krieg tones, possibly grey and dark camo green.

I chose it only because it had the most awesome name.

Here the 2nd paint scheme on a German A7V tank

I like this one!

If I were painting my Krieg again now, I'd go with something other than the standard grey, even if it was just brown, or tan, or olive.

The ochre is Iyanden Darksun. It looks a bit darker than on the picture. The other colours are Catachan Green and Scorched Brown.

Actually all vehicles are painted to the same standart: black undercoat and then i applied the colours without any additional highlighting.

BTW Bunt-farben-anstrich means varicoloured-colour-paintwork.

Another variant i thought about is the Buntfarbenanstrich without the Iyanden Darksun.
Could look something like the Bombard  on page 53 of Vraks 1.
Or Codex Grey (or the darker Shadow Grey) with Catachan Green stripes lined by black...hmmm

BTW: Can you dicern the different colour schemes on this picture?

From left to right:
- Regal Blue greatcoat, Chaos Black helmet.
- Scorched Brown greatcoat, Chaos Black helmet.
- Codex Grey + some Catachan Green greatcoat, Scorched Brown helmet(inspired by  WWI German Infantry after 1916)
- Catachan Green greatcoat, Catachan Green helmet.
- Codex Grey greatcoat, Codex Grey helmet((is inspired by WWI German Infantery after 1916 if the helmets where Scorch Brown)

Something totally different: I think i will go with Kommando Khaki with Codex Grey stripes for the Vehicles and Artillery.

Khaki is my favourite colour at this moment. It has so many uses, works with reds, blues and greys.
