Pretty cool!

I would suggest more rivets, as nothing says 40k like 40,000 rivets.

The lower barrel of the photon burner should be two separate barrels. A photon burner are three photon casters focusing their beams on a single spot.

Else your design are very nice  :agree:

Funds are tight at the moment but otherwise would pick up at least one of each. Especially if weapons would fit both the SG Warlord and FW Reaver. Would be a good way of adding some variety to my Lucius pattern AMTL force.

Cheers

James

Ah, I didn't realise that - I built this model from photos I found on the net, not from one actually in my hand. I'll modify it later tonight.

The first 2 are coming up a little large on the FW reaver at the mo (at a guess, measuring off the screen and all) - I think I'm going to scale the file and get prints at 80, 90 and 100% size for comparison.

The mounting posts on the top brackets are sized to fit the FW Reaver's mounting holes. Can anyone measure up the hole on a SG Warlord? I'll post the current dimensions later.

I was considering trying a new head next - more "pistony" and less "cabley", but I'll gladly have a go at more weapons if anyone has a preferance? (The power saw or chainfist might be fairly easy, as they would use most of the same components as the powerfist.)

Actually the Laser Bruner model IS designed as your Photon Burner. But this is due to the casting process. The description of how its works talks about three beams.

Ok, the "pin" on the bracket piece is 2mm deep by 2.5mm diameter.

Better :) But the nozzles should look differently. For now they look like a gun which shoots solid projectiles than energy beams.
I'm unsure which would be better:
- same nozzle as a Lascannon
or
- same nozzle as a Turbo-laser Destructor/Volcano Cannon
?

While I'm deciding what to do (I'm leaning towards a lascannon-esque barrel/flash suppressor for each barrel, but with the bottom ones rotated inwards slightly) I've placed my first shapeways order for maxim guns and power fists in various scales, some some small gun turrets that I had previously designed.

I'll post pics when they arrive

Everything passed their upload checks OK, but when I came to order them there were some wall thickness issues that I wasn't aware of. I've re-worked a couple of the models, re-uploaded them and placed a new order. Robot Arms and Maxim Guns in 3 different sizes ought to be with me just after Christmas.

My power fists and maxim blasters have finally arrived!

It's quite incredible to see something that I designed on the computer actually in my hand. I can see clearly now how much off my initial measurements were. You can see the difference in size in the first pic. I might have to mock up the titan's body and legs to get a better size on future builds. The powerfist is still a little large, even at 80%, but I kinda like it

I ordered 3 of each part, 1 each in 100%, 90% and 80% size. These were all printed in the "strong white & flexible" material, and one arm at 80% in "Black detail". The detail is pretty good, although the surface texture is slightly rough. The back detail part seems to have a better resolution too, although it is hard to see the detail on the white parts, and even harder to photograph them. I'll get some primer on them and post pics later.

The 80% size parts are just about the smallest Shapeways can print (in terms of wall thickness), and these are the parts fitted to my reaver in these photos:
