That is correct.

I am happy to say that the one in my sig has had over 12 playtests so far and is scheduled for the big 20 by the end of this year. I daresay it will form the basis for all others to use as a guide for troops and costings due to the rigourous playtests and discussions to balance the list.

I know how the above sounds, however I take pride in the work I have done so far and am confident of it's balance to a possible addition to the NetERC.

I have just finished version 1.3 of the list which has taken me all morning to do. I will have it reviewed over the next two days and then will look at releasing it. At that point, I do not envision any other additions as I finalise the playtests up to that magic number of 20 before the end of the year.

I would like to see the Chaos Army Champion appoint a single World Eaters Sub Champion, there is no point running two seperate lists.

At the last announcement, Lord Inquistor was Chaos Marine champion, yes, with Steve54 as LatD champ. Whether that has changed in private I do not know.

There are or have been a couple of Dark Angels lists and Squat lists haven’t there? It’s great that people want to develop and playtest lists and everything should be done to encourage and support people doing so. While perhaps the ideal would be to have one list per race/army, there could be two different opinions on doing the list that may not want or be able to be reconciled.

Just thought of a good example where two lists is officially supported – the Net-EA draft includes two different Blood Axe lists doesn’t it?

Note: I’m not familiar with either list personally, my naturally chaotic preferences are more towards Tzeentch and Slaanesh and I’m just getting back into wargaming recently so am more likely to play the general chaos and other lists for the moment.

At least Dark Angels are now only one list

With the possibility of Lord Inquisitor being replaced (I assume that Chroma is referring to something of the sort) I'd say that Chaos sub championships are up in the air for the moment.

No official announcements have been made, and I really do not think this is the forum to have this discussion.

Personally, I would prefer this thread was closed. It has served it's purpose to bring to light the lack of support for sub chaos lists. From here it can only devolve into 'he said - she said'.

I hope things can be amicable, the best option from where we are may be just to remain with two lists indefinitely and people can choose and play whichever they like.

Having to tell one of the two the list you have spent a good amount of time developing will be chosen and made official and the other’s not seems harsh and unpleasant for that person. Especially if the Chaos Army Champion is not active then there is no clear way to decide such a thing too and it could easily end up in lots of argument.

We have two official Net-EA Blood Axe lists the ‘Blood Axe Warhorde’ and the ‘Blood Axe Mercenarie’ lets just to the same here – similarly characterise each of your two World Eaters lists in some way and keep the two IMO.
