So Chroma, am I correct in assuming the Epic Compendium has the same rules in it as the GW update?

Rules, yes, armies, no.

Take that with a grain of salt, as I have not closely reviewed the Compendium, but, I believe, it's intent was to codify the errata and rules in a single document.

Glancing at some of the Marine costs and stats, they seem to have gotten worse for some units. Land Raiders are 400 pts a detachment and their Firefight is now 5+ as an example. Is this how they always were or am I mistaken?

There seems to be mistake in part 5.0, page 36. Valkyrie is there two times.

There have been no stat mods, sadly that's how LRs have always been.
They're 350pts at UK tournaments!

And yet still aren't taken.  :grin:

Ah, know that those documents represent the "Official GW 2008 Errata", not the NetEA or EpicUK changes/recommendation which went a lot further.

And, yes, some errors have snuck in and we're trying to get corrections up... and it ain't easy!

So for all intents and purposes, the Compendium is still valid and will jive, rules-wise, with the "official" rules on the GW site?

The compendium is still valid for now, but is due to be replaced by the 'official' NetEA army book.

True it's all pretty much the same, it's just that the NetEA army book will include more recent/updated/NetEA approved army lists.

Of course, somebody is going to post a stickied FAQ thread to explain the differences between all the different rule sets, once they are available, so that there is no confusion between them, correct  :) ;)?

Chroma is working on it and has been posting drafts of the army lists for people to look through at spot any errors in.
